Variation of the "From vineyards to orchards in the Javot valley" hike available on the FFRP Seine-et-Marne hiking website.

A walk along the Seine, with the village of Fontaine-le-Port, a section ofthe GR®2 trailoverlooking the Seine towards Chartrettes, then the Bois-le-Roi leisure centre on the other side of the river.

A hike from station to station high up on the right bank of the Seine, offering beautiful views of the river and the nearby Forest of Fontainebleau. The first and last thirds of the hike follow paths that wind through the forest. In between, the route alternates between fields, woods and residential areas, with some interesting heritage sites.

A hike accessible by train, which drops you off in the middle of the forest (Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays). The route mainly follows the Denecourt-Colinet trails, nicknamed the “blue trails” due to the colour of their markings. The path winds through the undergrowth, far from the wide forest lanes, and twists and turns amongst the rocks. At Rocher Cassepot, there are two beautiful spots offering sweeping panoramic views. The end of the hike takes you past several fountains.

Long but very nice hike station to station in the Forest of Fontainebleau. It goes through several viewpoints, ponds, little known corners, stunning scenery.

A rural hike that alternates between old villages, former quarries, forest and the banks of the Seine. The road that was previously used for the return journey has changed from a private road to a public road and is no longer suitable for walking, hence a significant change to the route.

A loop offering beautiful views of the Seine and its valley! After an initial section in the forest, the trail follows a pleasant path along the riverbank, offering superb panoramic views. The hike ends on the banks of the Seine, with a picturesque passage on the small island of Basses Godernes.

A hike from station to station, mainly through a section of the Fontainebleau Forest that is not among the most frequented. The forest route alternates between wide paths and trails that wind through rocky terrain. Before that, the crossing of Thomery offers beautiful heritage sites, including its grape walls and some beautiful views of the Seine.

Twenty-seventh stage of the Grand Tour of Île-de-France via the GR®11, connecting Fontainebleau-Avon station to Milly-la-Forêt, after crossing the forests of Fontainebleau and Trois Pignons due west, via Arbonne-la-Forêt between the two massifs. This stage requires an overnight stay in Milly-la-Forêt or the surrounding area before reaching Ballancourt the next day. There are a few hotels and guesthouses available in the vicinity.

It is a short, relatively easy circuit exploring some curiosities of the forest of Fontainebleau around the Avon SNCF train station, namely the views over the Croix du Calvaire, the Sponge Rock, Denecourt Tower and fountains. One could also call it the fountain circuit.

An easy route on marked paths, passing several interesting points of interest: monuments, Roche Éponge, springs, Tour Dénécourt, Mares Froideau, Rocher Cassepot, Rocher Saint-Germain, Grotte aux Cristaux, Mare à Piat, Butte Saint-Louis and Petit Mont. Most of the route is in the shade, with beautiful trees.

From one fountain to another... The first half of this hike from station to station takes you through the Forest of Fontainebleau, with its boulders, several fountains, the Roche Éponge and the Tour Dencourt, which offers a panoramic view. Then you follow the Seine, first to Samois with its numerous barges, then along the edge of the forest.

Route along the Seine from Chartrettes to Samois-sur-Seine, followed by a walk through part of the Forest of Fontainebleau. A visit to the cemetery in Samois allows you to see the grave of Django Reinhardt.

This hike, which begins and ends in the forest of Fontainebleau, takes us on a journey to discover the painter Rosa Bonheur (1822-1899) and the château where she lived and set up her studio. We then stroll among the old vine walls that made Thomery famous in its day. A footpath offers the opportunity for a picturesque walk along the banks of the Seine.

A hike in areas of the Fontainebleau Forest that are not among the most frequented. The forest trail alternates between wide paths and trails that wind through rocky outcrops and vegetation. There are a few points offering extensive views of the forest and the town of Fontainebleau and its castle.

Visit the medieval town of Moret-sur-Loing coming from Saint-Mammès along the banks of the Loing. Return along the banks of the Seine. Check the opening hours of the Pont Loup museum. Please note: on Sunday mornings, there is a market in the car park. The route has been significantly modified to take into account various passages that have become unusable by pedestrians and to avoid walking along the railway line on the way back, without walking too much on tarmac.

The best of the Denecourt-Colinet trails nos. 1, 2 and 3 in a day's hike! The Croix d'Augas, the rocks of Mont Ussy, the Solle racecourse, the Rocher Cassepot, the Denecourt Tower, the Circuit des Fontaines, and return via the beautiful viewpoint of the Croix du Calvaire. N.B. As is often the case with the Denecourt-Colinet trails, the automatic calculation underestimates the twists and turns in the rocks: allow for 17 km and 250 m of elevation gain, or 5 hours.

This loop is accessible by public transport and showcases several aspects of the Forest of Fontainebleau: forest stands of various species, ponds and rocky outcrops. The superb viewpoint at Camp de Chailly is a great place to stop for a break.

A hike from station to station, the first half of which takes place entirely in the northern part of the Forest of Fontainebleau, with a passage through the rocky chaos of Rocher Canon and then to the mysterious Mare aux Évées. The route then becomes much more urban, passing through several residential areas. It finally ends on the Seine towpath.

Hike through vast woodlands interspersed with rocky outcrops such as Rocher Canon, Cuvier Chatillon and Rocher Saint-Germain.

From Bois-le-Roi to Fontainebleau, walk between forest and rocks far from the beaten track

The Fontainebleau Forest is one of the most beautiful forests in France thanks to its varied landscapes and, above all, its sandstone blocks. This hike, which passes through the Cuvier-Châtillon rocks, the Apremont gorges and the rocks of Mont Ussy, will allow you to appreciate all its beauty but also its fragility, due to both natural erosion and that caused by heavy human traffic, given its proximity to the Paris region.

This stage of the GR®1 connects Bois-le-Roi to Le Vaudoué. It is the only stage that does not end at a train station. This hike is unique in that it crosses the Forest of Fontainebleau and its many beautiful rocks. There are several points of interest along this section, which is entirely forested: the tree at Carrefour des Longues Vallées, the rocks at Cuvier Chatillon, the viewpoint at Gorges d'Apremont and Gorges de Franchard (worth visiting if you don't mind walking a little further), as well as the Chapel of Prieuré Notre-Dame de Franchard and the church at Vaudoué.

From the beautiful Rocher Saint-Germain and its Crystal Cave to the surprising Rocher Canon, via the Table du Grand Maître, the Longues Vallées and the Butte Saint-Louis. Please note: the automatic calculation underestimates the twists and turns of the Blue trails. Allow for 18 km and 300 m of elevation gain. Allow 6 hours of walking time.

This route connects two towers (the Tour Denecourt and the Tour de Samois) via relatively quiet trails, mainly the Denecourt-Colinet and Samoisiens trails.

Rising between Forterre and Puisaye, and after a course of more than 150 kilometres, the Loing flows into the Seine to the south-east of the Forest of Fontainebleau. This rather short route runs alongside these two rivers and the Canal du Loing for much of its length. A section through the forest adds variety to the landscape. The beautiful old Saint-Mammès Church and a few reproductions of paintings by Alfred Sisley add an undeniable touch of heritage to this walk.

A very varied hike from station to station. The Chemin des Herces, high up, offers beautiful views of the Seine and the town of Saint-Mammès, where you will find a beautiful Romanesque church. After walking along the Seine, you stroll between the old vine walls of Thomery. You return to the banks of the Seine and the hike ends with a detour into the Fontainebleau National Forest.

A day's hike to enjoy the charm of the southern part of the Forest of Fontainebleau, combining rocky trails, beautiful woodland paths and the historical interest of villages and small towns (Bourron-Marlotte, Veneux-les-Sablons).

Hike in the Forest of Fontainebleau, with no difficulty except for a short steep climb, away from the busy paths and perfectly marked from start to finish.

Twenty-sixth stage of the Grand Tour of Île-de-France via the GR®11, connecting the Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons and Fontainebleau-Avon stations through the Fontainebleau Forest, bypassing the town of Fontainebleau. During this crossing of the forest, we will walk along wide shaded paths, steep trails through sandstone blocks, and a few interesting viewpoints.

Discover eleven ponds as you explore many iconic locations in the Forest of Fontainebleau: Gros Fouteau, Hauteurs de la Vallée de la Solle, Mare aux Ligueurs, Mare aux Bouleaux, Fontaine Sanguinède, Croix du Gand Veneur, Chaos d'Apremont, Mare aux Sangliers, Rocher Cuvier Chatillon, Mare aux Canards, à Dagneau, à Piat, Longues vallées, Rocher Canon, Mare aux Evées, aux Cerfs, Plaine de Bois-le-Roi, de Samois, Mare du Marchais, Samois-sur-Seine, Île du Berceau, la Tour Denecourt.

Depart from the Maison Forestière de Maintenon for a 16 km walk.

The Rocher des Princes is a medium-difficulty loop in the pretty Fontainebleau Forest. It alternates between fairly steep climbs and descents with flat paths, allowing you to rest between the difficult sections.

A country walk through the village of Livry, its woods and fields to Chartrettes. This can be extended to the north by the charming Vaux-le-Pénil vineyard trail (+ 2 x 5 km) for experienced walkers.

This quite long route allows you to discover exceptional sites such as the Rempart du Restant du Long Rocher ('the rampart of the remainder of Long Rock'), Béatrix Cave and Carrosse Rock. You will also go past magnificent viewpoints, rarely visited walkways and some beautiful ponds, typical of the forest.

A lovely circular along the Ancœuil. Walking along this river is very pleasant when the weather is warm.

A circular mainly through the forest, starting from Place des Fourneaux in Maincy. The route begins with a walk through the village and continues along the neighbouring fields. After a short stretch through the forest, it continues along the surrounding wall of the Château de Vaux-Le-Vicomte with a view of the Ancueil spillway. Pass in front of the Maison des Carmes, then return to the village square.
