Discover the islands of Samois-sur-Seine by canoe

Park in the outdoor car park at La Pièce du Bac campsite, in Samoreau, Rue de l'Abreuvoir.

(S/E) Launching takes place at the end of Rue de l’Abreuvoir. The slope is gentle and concrete-paved.
Once in the water, head north towards Samois-sur-Seine (with the current). On the right bank you will see small fishermen’s cottages and recreational areas, some of which are laid out in an original way. On the left bank are large, half-timbered Norman-style townhouses.

(1) Go round the Île aux Barbiers on the right and turn back.

(2) Once you have passed it, you will discover a very calm and relaxing setting on the Samois-sur-Seine side.

(3) Pass under the footbridge at Île au Berceau, which takes you into the backwater. You’ll find pretty water lilies and beautiful houses, well-decorated and adorned with flowers.

(4) Pass under another footbridge to leave the backwater. Continue upstream to the starting point (S/E).

Bars and restaurants along the route, with mooring facilities, particularly near the starting point.

Île au Berceau is small and well-suited for a stroll. Île aux Barbiers is unspoilt with plenty of vegetation.
