Departure from Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons station (Transilien line R, Gare de Lyon network).
(S) Take the "Bords de Seine" exit (use the underground passage if necessary). At the exit, take the path on the left and join the footbridge.

Take the footbridge over the railway line and follow theGR®11. Pass by the foot of the church.
(1) At the crossroads, follow Rue de l'Église straight ahead. At the end, first turn right then left onto Rue de la Grande Cour. Continue along Rue de la Grenouillère. At the end of a right-hand bend, turn left onto Rue des Bois. Follow it to the D606.
(2) Use the underpass beneath the D606 and continue along theGR®11via Route des Sablons. Cross a wide grassy path that follows the route of the Vanne underground aqueduct. Continue west-southwest and, at each junction, stay on Route des Sablons with the GR®.

(3) At the third crossroads after the aqueduct (plot no. 439), take thefirst path on the right, the Route Lefoin (leave theGR®11and follow the Tour du Massif de Fontainebleau - TMF trail). Go straight ahead (north) and cross the underground aqueduct embankment again (water treatment plant in the distance on the left). Climb slightly up the rocks before descending again.
(4) At the next junction, turn left onto Route du Chêne Feuillu. Go straight ahead at each junction. Cross Carrefour du Chêne Feuillu and continue straight ahead with the TMF.
(5) At the next junction (plot 418), turn right onto Route de Montmorin. Continue straight ahead, walk along a fenced plot, cross Route de la Retraite and reach Carrefour de la Croix de Montmorin.
(6) Go around the crossroads on the right, cross the D606, and take thefirst road on the right. At the next crossroads, take the second road on the left, Route des Fraillons, and continue straight ahead towards Thomery station (you can see a white mass in the distance).
(7) Take the underpass beneath the railway tracks. Continue along the tarmac road leading to the station. Go around the Carrefour Duchatel junction on the left and cross the D301. Then take the Route de la Petite Haie, which runs diagonally between the two tarmac roads. Continue to the junction of the same name.
(8) Then take thethird right, Route de La Butte Montceau. Cross Route de la Caille, Route cavalière de Guise and Route du Prince in succession. Continue straight ahead and climb Mont Andart hill via a narrow, steep path.
(9) At the top, continue straight ahead and descend the less steep slope. At the bottom, cross Route de la Fauvette and then a small tarmac road. Continue straight ahead and cross Route du Grand Jarrier.
(10) At the crossroads that immediately follows, turn right onto Chemin de Saint-Aubin. Continue straight ahead, cross a tarmac road (Route de Bourgogne) and continue opposite, veering to the left, along a stone wall (ruined house on the right). You will arrive at a crossroads overlooking the Seine.
(11) Turn left onto Route Tournante du Bois Gautier. Stay on the path overlooking the Seine and note the Fontaine Saint-Aubin fountain on your right. Pass a bench with a view of the Seine and its opposite bank.
(12) Immediately afterwards, turn left at an acute angle and go uphill. At the end of the road, turn left and, at the crossroads immediately ahead, continue straight on (south-south-west) along Route du Moulin de la Chaudière. You will see the first building in the distance.
(13) Cross the D138 and head towards Avon-Vallée via Avenue de Nemours. Take the wide pavement shared by pedestrians and cyclists. Takethe first right onto Rue Jacques Durand. Go downhill and pass in front of the municipal library. At the roundabout, go straight ahead towards Val du Moulin.
(14) At the next roundabout, continue straight ahead. After about 20 metres, first turn right then left onto Rue du 14 Juillet. Take the first right on this street and, at the second right turn, continue straight ahead into Impasse Maria. Take thefirst path on the left, Chemin de la Messe. At the end of the path, continue on the tarmac road, passing in front of a small car park. When the street turns left, go straight ahead on the path.
No markings
At the end of the path, turn right and cross a small square (leave the white and green markings here). Follow Rue des Yèbles to the right. At the next pedestrian crossing, cross to the left and climb the stairs leading to Fontainebleau-Avon station (E).
