Easy hike to the Lac de Bordères (Bareilles) via the Port de Pierrefite, with superb views of the Pyrenees. Moderator's warning as of 25/01/2021: Warning! In winter, the starting point at Port de Balès may be inaccessible by car. See the notice below dated 25/01/2021

Belvédère du Mont Né (Mont Né viewpoint) is a fitting name for this mountain, as the views you will discover throughout this hike are breathtaking. In good weather, this route does not present any major difficulties. What's more, you will start from Port de Balès, a famous stage of the Tour de France.

Starting from the centre of Loudenvielle, this lovely route offers exceptional views of Lake Génos while recounting the history of the town. It is not particularly difficult and can be enjoyed by the whole family, although it is best to choose a dry day as the stones can be slippery when wet.

This easy hike will allow you to discover Artigue, a charming village in the Luchonnais region, beautiful forests and a superb panorama of Bagnères-de-Luchon surrounded by its 3000m peaks, all on very different paths and trails.

A very pretty early winter circuit to be done on foot or snowshoes depending on the snow conditions. Its good south-eastern exposure allows you to walk in the sun, which is appreciated in cold weather. A very picturesque hike through the village, beautiful beech forests and the sumptuous panorama from the summit.

A lovely walk gradually ascending towards the artificial Lac d'Oô and the large waterfalls that feed it.

This is a beautiful hike, the first part of which takes you through lovely pine forests. You can then admire a superb panorama of the Aure valley on the south side, not to mention the highlight of the show, an incomparable view of the Arbizon.

This pretty loop was the mountain biking training ground of our local champion Élodie, French junior champion in 2001 and 2002. On foot, you will have time to enjoy this route, which will take you to viewpoints overlooking the valley, where you may be lucky enough to spot numerous deer in this area.

Plusieurs points particuliers, passerelle, tour, cascade et fontaine, émaillent le parcours, dont une surprenante Fontaine d'Amour qu'il ne faut pas rater (bien faire attention au panneau) pour commencer à comprendre l'histoire de la région.

A simple hike with an almost continuous 360° view of the Aure and Louron valleys and the surrounding peaks (Arbizon, Lustou, Abeille, etc.). The quietest hikers are sure to spot squirrels, wild boars and birds of prey in the forest. Accessible on foot, snowshoes or mountain bike, with a slight elevation gain (mainly on three short steep climbs). No signposting but 90% of the route is on forest tracks and clean pastures. Crosses two small streams.

A short, mostly shaded hike starting from the beautiful village of Mauléon-Barousse. The path is marked from start to finish (yellow markings). You can go to the Gouffre de la Saoule and admire the waterfalls.

This hike can be done with or without snow... On the evening of 13 July 1944, seven British and Canadian airmen from the Royal Air Force took off to resupply the Nistos maquis. The Halifax aircraft crashed into the Pic du Douly. The airmen did not survive and were buried on site. Debris from the aircraft is still visible today. All this calls for silence and contemplation...

A very beautiful hike that is accessible to everyone. The descent into the steeply-sided Sarrouyes valley retains a wild appearance. The end of the climb is in the middle of a meadow, following the stream. You may see many marmots here.

On foot or by mountain bike, you will discover all the charm of the Pyrenean landscapes, their scents, their scenery and their local flora and fauna. Magnificent view of the barns, extensive panorama of the Rioumajou Valley, Lustou, the Louron peaks, Hourgade and the village of Saint-Lary-Soulan. On the other side, view of the Plat d'Adet and the Aulon Valley.

This is a beautiful hike during which you will discover stunning waterfalls, a beautiful view of the Luchonnais region and, the highlight of the show, the green waters of the lake of the same name. However, due to its elevation, length and a few tricky sections, this route requires a good level of fitness.

A shady walk that takes in a splendid canyon and wonderful waterfalls.

A very beautiful hike which, initially through the woods with informative signs, allows you to cover the elevation gain without even noticing. Ideal for children. Then the Clarabide Gorges with the path carved into the rock are magnificent and the reward is not far away.I would like to point out that, having done this hike again, the altitude figures given by the Visorando software are incorrect. The elevation gain is around 550 m.

A balcony route leading from Saint-Lary-Soulan to Tramezaïgues, its Romanesque church, its castle ruins and back via the balcony on the other side of the valley to Vignec.Some pretty views and villages.Note: the hike is called Chemin des Traques by the Tourist Office and is marked in yellow all along the way.

From the Col d'Aspin, this short round-trip hike will take you along the ridges between the Campan and Aure valleys for a superb view of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, the Arbizon and the Perdiguère peaks.

A lovely, fairly challenging hike offering views of the Pyrenees.Part of the hike is along the border ridge. A good sense of direction, a GPX track and a map are strongly recommended.

This hike, which has no major difficulties, will be great fun to do in autumn in the midst of an explosion of colour. You'll discover superb beech forests, impressive pidgeon hunting huts, a beautiful view of the Pic du Cagire, the Garonne valley and the first Pyrenean peaks dominating the Barousse.

This hike is not particularly difficult, apart from a slightly steep climb during the first kilometre, and offers superb views of the Luchonnais mountain pastures (sheep, cows, horses), the climb to Vénasque and the Crête de la Pique.
