Park in the car park located on the side of the Peyresourde Balestas altiport.
(S/E) Take the path that starts at the end of the car park.
From the start, gently descend a small path that eventually splits.
(1) Start the circular here, turning right. Enter a beautiful forest and, at the next intersection, continue downhill, following the track on the left. At the next intersection, continue straight ahead and, further on, exit the forest at the Balestas stream.
(2) Cross this stream and follow it on the right bank to reach a ford.
(3) Be careful here: cross the stream again, but then you will arrive at a private but authorised access point. Walk past the yurts and dogs in their enclosures, follow the instructions regarding the animals, keep your dog on a leash and pass quickly. You will then arrive at the low point.
(4) Go up the path on the left. Continue along the track shared with mountain bikes to quickly reach a T-junction.
(5) Leave the mountain bike trail by going up to the left and, at the top of the slope, rejoin the crossroads you passed on the way there.
(1) Turn right and follow the same route as on the way up to return to the altiport car park (S/E).
