Park in one of the car parks at the Val-Louron resort.
(S/E) Begin the hike by following the signs after the car parks. Pass the shops, the Trounquet restaurant and the ski school. Then follow route no. 9, Forêt de Lapadé, and arrive at the Sapins chairlift. Go around the fenced park on the left and follow the yellow markings. Climb steadily through the forest.
(1) At the intersection, take the path on the left. Pass the Belvédère de Lapadé viewpoint, climb up to the ridge following route no. 9 and reach the Belvédère de la Forêt viewpoint (beautiful view of the valley).
(2) Continue south on route no. 10 Rocher de Courtalets and reach a crossroads.
(3) Continue to the left and, after a steady climb through the forest, you will reach Rocher de Courtalets (panoramic view).
(4) You can continue climbing the ridge to reach the highest point of the hike (see Practical Information).
(5) Descend via the same route to the trail junction.
(3) Descend on the left, following route no. 10. At the Lapadé ski lift, turn sharply to the right.
(1) At the intersection, turn left and follow the same route as on the way up to return to the Val Louron resort car parks (S/E).
