Departure from the church square in Loudenvielle
(S/E) From the church square, head down towards La Poste and take the second street on the right (Chemin de Cidelongue). Follow the signs for Circuit No. 2. The path climbs quickly through the woods, passes under the Peyragudes cable car and joins the old village of Château de Moulor.
(1) Pass the Tour de Moulor, then take the path on the left that begins the descent through the woods. This is the most "technical" part of the route as the stones can be slippery. The path joins the road.
(2) Cross the road with caution, as it can be busy with motorists in summer. Follow it to the right for about ten metres, then take the path that descends to the left.
This joins a footbridge that crosses the northern part of Lake Genos-Loudenvielle. Here you will find the most beautiful views of the circuit, with the mountains reflected in the clear waters of the lake. Continue along the path, which climbs a little before descending to follow the lake shore.
Pass the picnic areas and the Balnea thermal baths to reach a bridge.
(3) Take the bridge over the Neste, then a footbridge to return to the village. Take the Chemin de Cazalis, which passes in front of the Tourist Office, then becomes Rue du Pic des Gourgs Blancs. Leave the wash house on your left and return to the square in front of Loudenvielle church.
