There is a small car park by the church at Benque-dessous.
(S/E) Follow the signposted path towards Saint-Aventin for about 700 m.
(1) A bench overlooks the Mail de la Serre. Turn right onto the signposted path which winds its way up towards the cromlechs.
(2) Go through a small gate and close it behind you. Continue along the path as it climbs.
(3) There is a drinking trough fitted with a tap where you can fill your water bottles; the water here is safe to drink. Carry on straight ahead.
(4) You’ll reach the row of cromlechs. At the gate, carry on straight ahead, following the fence that ensures peace and quiet for the cows and horses grazing freely on Cap de la Serre. Head up the Sentier des Chevreuils for about 700 m until you reach a track.
(5) Follow this track for about fifty metres uphill on your left. At the junction with thePR®®23, go through the gate heading north-west to reach the Croix de Garin via the track, skirting the fir forests.
(6) Cross the stream and head south. A sign points to the Croix de Garin; continue along this path until you reach the cross.
(7) Turn round and head back along the same path.
(6) Carry on to the right along the track.
(5) Ignore the path leading uphill on the right and carry straight on. Follow a series of hairpin bends.
(8) Pass the electric fence and take the path on your left to continue descending towards Benque.
(9) Stop off at the remarkable Saint-Blaise Church, then continue the descent to the church at Benque-dessous and the car park (S/E).
