Les Andelys - Le Thuit: between the Seine and... the mountains
This extremely varied hike will clear your head, open up superb landscapes and tone your calves. From the beautiful Norman village of Les Andelys, you set off for the mountains. At least, that's the impression you get as you walk along the side of the rock on a narrow mule track with spectacular views of the limestone rocks and the Seine. On the way back, you follow the banks of the Seine, gently returning to solid ground.
The Heudreville-sur-Eure circuit
A pleasant walk with some beautiful views and a very nice section along a fishing estate. A good route for exploring this pretty corner of the Eure.
Around Lyons-La-Forêt
A lovely walk through rolling countryside. Lyons-la-Forêt is a pretty old village, usually bustling with activity.
Château-Gaillard via Val Saint-Martin and the GR®2
TheGR®2winds along the cliffs overlooking the Seine, descends into Les Andelys and climbs back up towards Château-Gaillard.

A very pleasant unmarked route where you cross the Iton several times. It is also an opportunity to discover the former home of the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda and the beautiful Chambray Castle along the way.
The Coteaux de l'Epte starting from Fourges
A hike on the slopes of both banks of the Epte, straddling the Île-de-France and Normandy regions. The route alternates between fields and woodland and offers beautiful views of the Epte valley. There are two churches, a mill and a beautiful farmhouse with a dovecote to discover.

Les Andelys and its wooded surroundings
A lovely walk through the Seine Valley. From the top of the white cliffs, the view of Les Andelys dominated by Château Gaillard is unforgettable. The tall forest you pass through is colonised by ferns and sometimes looks like the beginning of the world as we imagine it.
Hamlets and marshes along the Seine and Risle rivers
Near Honfleur in Normandy, along the Seine estuary and in the bocage, a hike of about 20 km on trails with majestic panoramic views.

Around Vieux-Port
Vieux-Port is the smallest commune in the Eure department. It has preserved the characteristic houses of eastern Normandy, half-timbered farmhouses with cob walls and thatched roofs. It is a popular stopover for boaters sailing on the Seine. The hike crosses the village, but also beautiful forests and typical Norman hamlets, and offers beautiful views of the Seine.
Around the lakes of Poses and the banks of the Seine

This walk begins by crossing the Seine via a footbridge that passes over the locks and the Poses dam. It then goes around the Lac des Deux Amants and the Lac du Mesnil, where numerous birds, including waterfowl, add to the charm of these lakeside landscapes. Finally, the return to the banks of the Seine takes you past splendid houses built from local stone and faces the chalk cliffs.
Muzy and the banks of the Avre
This is an easy route, the second part of which is very pleasant in hot weather as it follows the banks of the Avre on theGR®®22. There are various places to stop and picnic by the water.
The trails of the Iton
Discover a multifaceted site located on the banks of a river where the lapping of its various branches reveals the remains of mills that were once very common here. The hillsides offer magnificent views of the Eure and Iton valleys. Explore the forest where some unusual inhabitants await you, whether animal or plant, such as certain trees with outstretched branches.

The Route des Chaumières starting from Bouquelon
Starting from Bouquelon church, take a long descent along a wooded path, then follow the Route des Chaumières along the Marais Vernier, finally returning via the Bois du Plessis.

From the Lyons Forest to the Andelle
After admiring Vascœuil Castle and its dovecote, the path will take you into the Lyons National Forest with some noticeable changes in elevation before descending to the village of Les Hogues via the Saint-Mathurin spring.
The return journey via Perruel follows the Andelle river, offering peaceful landscapes.

Lyons-La-Forêt and its forest
A shaded day-long hike to discover the Norman Vexin with Lyons-la-Forêt, a listed village, and its large forests. This is one of the most beautiful beech and oak forests in Europe, with tall trees, an arboretum, the Fouillebroc and Sainte-Catherine springs, and the 12th-century Cistercian abbey of Mortemer.
Along the Avre and in the Bois des Brouillets
Starting from the charming church of Acon, on the border between Normandy and Île-de-France, the route first takes you through the Avre valley and follows the river for a good distance. Then, higher up, it passes through a forest of oak and birch trees with fern undergrowth. This is a relatively short hike, but it can be extended by following another route that starts and ends at the same point.

The Manoir du Hom in Beaumont-le-Roger
Improved version of the Blue marked route, starting from the Town Hall Square (superbly refurbished) to include a tour of the town, whose heritage is interesting and enhanced by recent developments.
Panoramic views around Vironvay
An easy hike that starts along the banks of the Seine, where the reflections are magnificent, especially the typical bridge of Saint-Pierre-du-Vauvray.
Then, a very gentle climb into the forest leads to the village of Heudebouville and then the splendid panorama of Vironvay over the villages, hillsides, bridge, Château-Gaillard, meanders of the Seine, etc.
Along the way, there are frequent small panoramas for those who wish to linger and take in the view.
Secret walk to the Fontaine Caillou
Far from the modern world, a small valley hidden between meadows and forest reveals an intimate and authentic Normandy, with magnificent trees, sunken paths, fresh springs, typical thatched cottages and rolling landscapes. This route is not marked, hence its name "secret walk": geolocation is therefore recommended.

La Croix de Marcouville
Cette agréable randonnée vous permettra de découvrir ce petit coin de Normandie un peu méconnu car loin des lieux touristiques. On croise en chemin le joli Château de la Mésangère, un bel étang perdu en forêt mais surtout le Chêne à la Vierge de la Mésangère. Cet arbre remarquable est assurément l'un des plus beaux (si ce n'est le plus beau) de toute la région.
The Moulin de Pierre and the Brotonne Forest
Discover the Moulin de Pierre in Hauville, open to visitors every Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. In the village, the Church of Saint-Paër or Saint-Paterne is open to the public. A fairly pleasant route, with a little tarmac at the start and end. The route is mainly in the forest, with one fairly steep hill and two others that are much gentler.
Circular in the Bord-Louviers forest
Circular loop in the Bord-Louviers forest via the old Route d'Elbeuf. This is a season when the forest seems both alive and peaceful, with animals bustling about before winter, mushrooms sprouting from the ground and trees losing their leaves.
Chemin de la Fosse aux Loups from Selles
This very hilly and shaded circuit, between forests and hedgerows, will allow you to discover the Saint-Laurent spring and numerous yew trees. The route follows a well-marked blue PR® trail that you can rely on.
In the land of Vlaminck
In the centenary year of Maurice de Vlaminck's move to La Tourillière near Verneuil-sur-Avre, here is a journey through his heartland between Verneuil-sur-Avre and La Loupe. These towns are both served by railway stations that can be reached from Paris Montparnasse. Woods, fields and forests were the inspiration for many of the painter's works. With cloudy skies guaranteed, take a stroll through the landscapes that so strongly inspired this colourful, versatile artist, where he welcomed the greatest celebrities of his time.
Verneuil-sur-Avre - La Ferté-Vidame
To mark the centenary of Maurice de Vlaminck's move to La Tourillière near Rueil-la-Gadelière, a few kilometres from Verneuil-sur-Avre, recently renamed Verneuil d'Avre et d'Iton, this tour offers a three-stage discovery of the region that inspired the painter.A hunter, fisherman, walker, cyclist, motorist and motorcyclist, he came to settle here to find peace and inspiration. From 1925 until his death in 1958, under an often changeable sky dotted with clouds, the painter tirelessly explored these landscapes of fields, copses and the vast forest of Senonches, in search of subjects for his many paintings.We will first go from Verneuil to La Ferté-Vidame, passing by his grave in the cemetery of Rueil, his bust sculpted by his friend Paul Belmondo in front of the town hall, and above all his home in La Tourillière, preserved in the state in which he lived.
