(S/E) Departure from the town hall in Heudreville-sur-Eure.
Go around the church and take Rue de l'Ancienne Poste (towards Le Hom). At the end of the village, turn right onto Chemin du Petit Vey and, 300 metres further on, turn left into the small street (Sente aux Hommes). Follow the wall of the old factory on your left, then turn right into Rue de la Baronnerie.
(1) At the T-junction with Rue de l'Isle, continue straight ahead on the path leading to the river. Cross the river, then turn right and follow the path between the road above and the river. Pass the old station on your left, then at the crossroads, cross the D836 and take the small road that climbs up opposite and winds around twice.
(2) At the top of the hill, at the isolated house at the crossroads, turn right onto another road called "le chemin des Bouleaux" and descend to Fontaine-Heudebourg. Cross the D836 road and continue straight ahead.
(3) Continue in the same direction (west) for about 100 metres, then turn left at the factory. Go through the gate and drive around the pond at the end of the fishing estate. Leave the estate by the same route you entered and head back towards the centre of Fontaine-Heudebourg.
(3) Do not head back towards the D836 road, but turn right (rue des Traverses). This street becomes a path. At the end of the path, continue on the path opposite.
(4) Turn right and then immediately right again (rue des Joncs). Continue straight ahead until you reach the church in Cailly-sur-Eure. Turn right just after the cemetery, into rue des Petits Prés, which then bends to the left.
(5) At the end of the street, turn right. Cross the river and take the road on the right towards Heudreville-sur-Eure. Continue for 250 metres, then take the path on the left that enters the forest. At the fork, continue to the right. The path runs alongside a meadow and then climbs quite steeply. Continue to the forest crossroads.
(6) Turn right to follow the path that is not blocked by a barrier (it is the second path on the right). Cross the Bois Renard, staying on this main path, heading north, and ignore the paths branching off to the left or right.
(7) At a T-junction, turn left. Keep heading north-west and descend towards Heudreville-sur-Eure.
(8) At the road, turn left, then right and left again.
(9) Turn right (D71). Turn left as you pass the castle, then continue straight ahead to return to the starting point.
