Park in the hiking trail car park on Rue de la Promenade du Vieux Puits in Saint-Pierre-du-Vauvray.
(S/E) At the car park exit, turn right and continue until the first street on the left, which you should follow to pass under the bridge over the railway line. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead along Rue du Bac until you reach the Seine.
(1) Turn right onto Quai de Seine and walk along the river on your left for 4.6 km, ignoring the paths and streets that branch off to the right.
(2) At La Ravine, just before the Priory of Lormais, turn right, following the yellow markings, onto a path that passes between houses, then go under the railway bridge marked in yellow and white. Continue straight ahead to climb the path into the forest, still following the yellow markings.
Continue along this path, which reaches the edge of the forest, until you reach a lane covered with grass in the centre. Walk along this lane until it becomes a fully paved road, which you should not take.
(3) Turn right onto the path, then turn left at the next path, which leads to Route de l'Ormais. Follow this road to the left for about 50 metres until you reach the nearby crossroads.
(4) Turn right (yellow markings on a tree on the left) and follow this street to the crossroads.
(5) Turn left to reach the centre of the village of Heudebouville. At the school, turn right to cross and take Rue du Manoir on the left. At the end of the street, turn right.
(6) After 150 metres, take a moment to admire the restoration of an old farmhouse, a market hall and a pond on your right. Continue to Rue de la Recette and turn right. Pass a calvary on your left and go to the end of the street.
(7) Turn left onto Rue de la Croix Roger, then take thefirst street on the right. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead and join a path that turns left a few dozen metres further on. At the crossroads, take the left-hand path, which leads back to Rue de la Croix Roger. Turn right and continue along this street, which becomes a path. Follow this path towards the Vironvay viewpoint until you reach a crossroads.
(8) Ignore theGR® which turns right, and continue straight ahead until you reach the first houses.
(9) Turn right onto the narrow path that passes behind the houses and follow it until you reach a small stone staircase. Go down and immediately turn left to quickly reach the viewpoint and orientation table.
(10) Before leaving this splendid viewpoint, we suggest you walk to Place des Tilleuls, passing in front of the beautiful stone and brick church with its unusual bell tower.
(11) Turn around, return to the path, go down it, pass the steps you descended on the way up, and continue straight ahead. Ignore the paths on the right and continue until you reach the railway line.
(12) Turn left onto theGR® trail, which runs alongside the railway line on the right-hand side (protected by a fence).
This path moves away from the railway line, veering to the left, climbs slightly and passes in front of an isolated house with numerous dogs. Continue until you reach a Y-junction.
(13) Turn right onto the grassy path and, facing the gates of the houses, turn right onto the narrow path. Continue to pass under the railway bridge and reach the banks of the Seine. Turn left, follow the Seine and retrace your steps in the opposite direction.
(1) Turn left onto Rue Du Bac, cross the road and pass under the bridge, at the end of which you should turn right to reach the car park (S/E).
