Évreux walks

This is a varied, not particularly difficult hike, which takes you on a circular route starting from the village of Auteuil-Authouillet, passing through Sainte-Colombe-près-Vernon and Champenard. Of the 11.6 km of this hike: - 3.4 km are in the woods, - 4.7 km are in meadows/plains - and 3.5 km are on roads.

The hillsides offer magnificent views of the Eure and Iton valleys. Explore the forest where some unusual inhabitants await you, whether animal or plant, such as certain trees with outstretched branches.

This is a short, varied route, where you will pass some beautiful Norman houses, an old church and a farmhouse inn dating from the 13th century. Half on tarmac, half on paths, this route is not very difficult, even if the hill leading to the D830 puts hikers' calves to the test!

Lac de Longlais attracts many walkers and it is very easy to park in the large tree-lined car park. There is a picnic area and a playground by the lake.
