Parking opposite Vascœuil Castle, Rue Jules Michelet.
(S/E) Head towards the centre of Vascœuil, with the château on your left, and turn left onto the D6 to reach the Andelle crossroads.
(1) Cross the Andelle and continue to the hamlet of Mouchel. At the hairpin bend, go straight on the D115 and then, at the next bend, leave this departmental road by taking the path on the left. Immediately after the forest barrier, follow the path on the right that enters the forest. Continue to the next crossroads of paths and forest roads.
(2) Turn right onto the path, then at the crossroads, turn right onto the left-hand path and join the D115 at elevation 169.
(3) Head left onto this road and cross it immediately to take the first path on the right.
Continue along this path, ignoring any crossroads, and descend until you reach a forest road at Carrefour des Pierres Cassées.
(4) Cross the forest road and immediately take the first path on the left, before the sign for the Route Forestière. Climb this path, which initially runs parallel to the forest road on the left, then gradually moves away from it.
(5) At the crossroads, turn right at a 90° angle and climb straight up the steep slope to reach a crossroads with five paths.
(6) Cross diagonally, avoiding the path on the far right. Continue south-west until you reach a short, steep descent on the left that leads to the Route Forestière du Fond des Hogues. Turn right and continue for about 300 metres.
(7) Take the first path on the left that goes uphill and reach the RD6. Follow it to the right; there is a picnic area on the left. Turn at the second street on the left, Cour Carentan, then turn right onto Sente Saint-Mathurin, which ends with a staircase. Admire the Saint-Mathurin spring on the right.
(8) At the top of the steps, turn left onto Sente Pelgas, go behind the town hall and then, at the crossroads, take the road on the right, Rue Sergent René Vard. Continue to Rue de l'Église, then turn left onto Rue du Bout du Bas and continue along this road until you reach a bus shelter in front of you.
(9) Then turn left onto Rue des Elingues, which continues down a path to the D114.
Turn left onto this road (you will see a castle below on your right) and continue to the crossroads.
(10) Turn right 180° onto Rue des Câbles, pass the fish farm and the castle (now on your left) and then pass the hamlet of Les Elingues.
(11) Turn left at the first road you come to and cross the Andelle three times.
(12) Just after the third small bridge, take the path on the right, pass the picnic tables and reach Rue de la Gare at the initial crossroads.
(1) Turn left and follow the same route back to the car park (S/E).
