The Lake of the Two Lovers

This route is suitable for all levels as the outward and return journeys follow the same route, so you can turn back at any time!
The starting point is near the Jonquemare pond in Neuville-Chant-d'Oisel. Passing through the Longboël forest, you will go through the Parc des Flotteaux, the Guinguette des Écluses, the dam and the Lac des Deux Amants.

At least, that's the impression you get as you walk along the side of the rock on a narrow mule track with spectacular views of the limestone rocks and the Seine. On the way back, you follow the banks of the Seine, gently returning to solid ground.

This walk begins by crossing the Seine via a footbridge that passes over the locks and the Poses dam. It then goes around the Lac des Deux Amants and the Lac du Mesnil, where numerous birds, including waterfowl, add to the charm of these lakeside landscapes. Finally, the return to the banks of the Seine takes you past splendid houses built from local stone and faces the chalk cliffs.
