Starting from Heudebouville, at the Verger de la Recette car park, with its bread oven.
Access: RD6015 then Rue de la Recette, Rue Robine.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, turn left into Rue Robine, then further on turn left into Rue du Manoir.
(1) When you reach the well, turn left into Rue de l’Ombre. Turn right onto Chemin Pileux. Cross the road and turn right (at the corner by the fence) onto a path leading into the woodland.
(2) When you reach the houses, turn left onto a path between two fences, go through a gate and follow this path as it begins to descend towards Lormais on the banks of the Seine. This is the GR®2, marked in white and red.
(3) Turn left and follow the road running alongside the river. Further on, leave the road and follow a narrow lane, still running alongside the Seine and skirting some light-frame houses.
(4) At the Ferme de Bellengault, turn left, cross the railway line via the level crossing and head uphill through the valleys. Follow the path until you reach the road.
(5) Turn left and carry on straight ahead towards a small road which later becomes a track. At the junction near the houses, carry on straight ahead along Rue de la Croix Roger. Look for the start of a track on the left at the edge of a meadow.
(6) Turn left onto this small track and carry on until you reach the edge of the woods. Take a hairpin bend to the right and continue to the pond known as the ‘stinking pond’. Carry on straight ahead and rejoin Rue de la Croix Roger.
(7) Turn left onto this street, then at the next junction veer right and cross the Verger de la Recette to reach the car park (S/E).
but then the banks of the Seine are very beautiful.
