(S/E) In Berville-sur-Mer, at the foot of the boat, facing the Seine, turn right and walk upstream along the Seine. After the lighthouse, leave the jetty and follow a dirt track that runs alongside the river.
(1) At the mouth of the Risle, continue to the right and follow the canal back to the port of Berville.
(2) Cross the dam and immediately turn left. Back on the tarmac, turn left onto theGR®224(red and white markings). Continue on the GR®.
(3) At the top of the hill after the Château de la Garenne, at the crossroads, turn left onto the Chemin de la Grande Chaussée towards the Risle
(4) Turn right to follow the river, then return to the village by turning right twice.
(5) Before the water treatment plant, turn left towards the countryside. Continue straight ahead until you reach the farm. At the tarmac road, turn right to join the D312.
(6) Follow the departmental road to the left, then take the first road on the right towards Côte Macaire.
(7) At the top, continue right on the path overlooking the valley at the edge of the woods. At the crossroads with a road, continue straight ahead.
(8) At the top, at the crossroads with another road, continue straight ahead and then, just after, turn right to descend below the campsite.
(9) Turn left at the water station to go back up into the woods. Take the first path on the right in the woods to continue along the valley.
(10) Back on the tarmac road at Hameau Julien, turn right towards the village.
(11) At Les Friches, turn left and then, in the countryside, take the first path on the left. Cross the Route de la Judée and climb up opposite towards the forest.
(12) At the top, turn right and head into the woods.
(13) Further on, take the road on the right and you will soon come to a path on the left lined with beautiful beech trees. Take this path and continue straight ahead after the barrier.
(14) At the junction with theGR®223, turn right towards the pine forest, then, at the clearing,
(15) follow theGR® on Chemin de la Pannerie, the second path on the right, which descends towards Berville and offers a superb panorama.
(16) At the bottom, cross the road and continue straight ahead. Further on, follow the Route Départementale to the left, then take Rue du Valet on the right, which descends towards the Seine.
(17) At the crossroads, turn left onto Rue des Chaumières, then immediately right at the statue of the Virgin Mary to take Chemin de la Vierge, a path that winds its way between old fishermen's houses. You will come out onto Rue du Port, on the canal.
(18) Follow the canal to the left, then turn right to return to the banks of the Seine.
