Route from Col de l'Arpettaz to Boegneuve
Starting from the Col de l'Alpettaz, this is a walk for the whole family. Magnificent views, breathtaking vistas and, as a bonus, if the weather is not too foggy, the Mont Blanc massif. You can even buy Savoyard cheeses.
The Mont Charvin circular
A somewhat aerial hike offering spectacular views. The passage by the lake provides an opportunity for a pleasant break.
As the route includes a section of via ferrata, cables are in place during the summer season on the most difficult parts. However, it is not recommended to attempt this route in wet weather, as some sections can be slippery and falls are not permitted.
The final section of this hike is reserved for experienced hikers.
Lac du Mont Charvin via Col des Porthets
A moderately difficult hike through the steep, rocky mountain pastures of Mont Charvin. From the Fontanettes car park in the commune of Le Bouchet, the climb takes you past the Chalet des Fontanettes and the Chalet de l'Aulp de Marlens, then through the valley to the Col des Porthets. From there, descend to join the path coming from Manigod and climb back up to the lake. The return journey follows the same route.
Col du Fer
Walk to the Col du Fer near Mont Charvin and its lake.
There is little elevation gain, so it is suitable for everyone, and if there is no fog, you can enjoy a magnificent panorama.
Lac du Mont Charvin
An out and return walk to Lac du Mont Charvin. Passing through woodland, then pasture before entering the higher and more rocky terrain. Great views Mont Blanc from the ridge above the lake.

A very interesting route that will take you back to your starting point, where a guest book awaits you.

This route will take you from Serraval to the summit of Sulens on the ridge of Montagne de Sulens. This mountain, located between the Aravis and Bornes ranges, offers extraordinary views of both, as well as much of the Bauges Massif. Two orientation tables at the summit provide hikers with information on the names of the many peaks visible in the surrounding area. Half of this hike takes place in the forest.

At the southernmost tip of the Tournette massif, a balcony crossing leads to the impressive Roc de Viuz promontory. This large, steep slope, clearly visible from the road, is well worth a visit.
From Albertville station to the Refuge du Soplat des Streams
A lovely climb starting from Albertville, passing through the medieval town of Conflans and pretty mountain hamlets with views of the Tarentaise Valley, before reaching the Refuge du Soplat des Stream. The refuge is ideally located near the Tour du Beaufortain with a beautiful view of Albertville and the Olympic Park. Hike to be done from May to November: avalanche risk in winter above 1,100 metres.
Croix Cartier
La Croix Cartier is a very pleasant hike for families, offering magnificent 360° views.
Le Treu, Croix de Stata and Croix Cartier in a loop
A wide loop around the hamlet of Chaucisse, allowing you to visit three summits by combining routes that can each be done as a shorter hike. The views along the way are magnificent, with the Aravis, Beaufortain and Mont Blanc in front of us.
The Gorges of Stream Rouge
This is a round-trip hike through meadows and woods. The last part descends steeply to the wooden bridge over the Nant Rouge. This section can be quite slippery in wet weather.
⚠️Recommended for experienced hikers due to its dangerous nature (steep and very slippery sections).
Le Fay from Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe
Forest walk starting from the village with a splendid panorama of the Aravis mountain range. For this circular in the woods, park in the car park of the Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe Tourist Office.
Summit of Orsiere from la Gutary
This circular walk will take you through the steep-sided wooded valley beneath the Aiguille de Manigod. It then brings you up into pastures before making the steep ascent to Sur le Freu and the more gentle ascent to the top of Orsiere via la Riondaz. The descent takes you back through pastures before heading back down through the forest to the start. Great views towards Manigod and the mountains behind Annecy, Mont Charvin.
Pointe d'Orsière loop via the Passage du Freu from Gutary
From the hamlet of La Gutary in Manigod, I suggest a beautiful loop trail on one of the foothills of the Aravis massif. The route starts with a climb up the Fier valley with a few steep sections, then joins the Passage du Freu, which requires a little care. It then continues through alpine pastures, passing the Pointe d'Orsière.
La Montagne du Sulens
Un itinéraire assez facile, mais qui offre une jolie vue arrivé au sommet, avec une table d'orientation.
Sulens Mountain via the Sentier du Facteur
This is an unusual route to the summit of Sulens, which takes you up the steep grassy face of the east slope.
This trail is not "yet" marked on IGN maps... but is clearly visible on IGN Satellite.
A good reason to use it before it becomes too well-travelled...
At the summit: panoramic view of the Aravis mountain range, the Mont Blanc massif...
Tour of Sulens Mountain
An easy hike on a wide track offering beautiful views of the Manigod valley and then the Bouchet valley. It allows you to walk around the Montagne de Sulens without much difficulty and offers breathtaking landscapes in autumn when the trees are ablaze with colour.
Belle Étoile circular, return via Chalet Périllet
From the summit of Belle Étoile, you will be treated to breathtaking views. Following a path that runs almost entirely through the woods, you will reach the Croix de Périllet and then, after a steep section, the Croix du Sommet de Belle Étoile.
The Parc du Mouton
A lovely circular route to reach a summit with 360° panoramic views. A climb through the forest to reach the refuge, then a short ridge. A cool descent along the torrent will take you back to the abbey, which you can visit or buy some of the famous cheese!
Tour of the Val de Tamié
The Val de Tamié site is remarkable for its Cistercian abbey nestled on the side of Tête Noire and its former military fort. The hike takes place in the valley. It starts from the abbey car park, with a steep climb, a walk downhill through the woods, a visit to the Fort de Tamié, a magnificent view of Mont Blanc at the Collet de Tamié, then the descent to the Moulin de Tamié.
The Keys to the Tournette Tour
I suggest a good hike, partly circular, starting from Les Clefs and heading to La Tournette through areas that are not too busy. There are no major technical difficulties along the route: at most, there are a few slippery sections in places and access to the summit of La Tournette via a few ladders and cables
