Chalet des Arolles - Molliessoulaz Lodge

(S) Leave the lodge and head west to quickly reach the Col de la Bathie by following the^GRP® Tour du Beaufortain.

(1) Continue along the path on the left and, via a virtually flat traverse, reach the Cascade de Lavouet.

(2) Change direction and head due north, passing close to the Lavouet and Soufflet lakes. Complete the ascent by reaching the Col des Lacs, which overlooks these lakes.

(3) Then set off on a long traverse northwards and then westwards to reach the Chalets de l'Aulp de Tours.

(4) Continue the traverse leading to the Crête de la Roche Pourrie and rejoin the path on the right coming from the Pas de l’Âne; this is a variant of^{the GRP®} Tour du Beaufortain.

(5) Stay on the^GRP® and head south into the Molliessoulaz Forest, reaching a crossroads of paths near a shelter hut.

(6) Turn right, cross Les Chappes and, further on, the forest chalet, reaching a reservoir at the junction of a forest track.

(7) Pass the Chalets des Croix and then the numerous chalets overlooking Molliessoulaz and its lodge, today’s stop (E).
