Description of the walk

Park in the car park of the Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe Tourist Office.

(S/E) Turn right onto Route de la Cour, then turn right onto Route de Savoie.

(1) At the hairpin bend, continue along Impasse du Fay. Walk alongside the lower station of the Reguet ski lifts. You will reach a crossroads at the end of this cul-de-sac.

(2) Continue along the path slightly to the left and you will reach another crossroads directly below the Verdette ski lift.

(3) Keep to the right, continue on a very slight incline, then down a short descent to a crossroads with several directions near the arrival station of the Fay ski lift.

(4) Turn left and follow the almost flat path to the Verdette ski lift junction you passed earlier.

(3) Turn right and, following the same route as on the way there but in the opposite direction, return to the car park of the Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe Tourist Office (S/E).

Worth a visit

(S/E) The Télétraineau, a ski lift classified as industrial heritage, can be admired in front of the town hall car park. Dating from 1937, it was thefirst ski lift in Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe. It operated until 1948 before being replaced by the first ski lift with pylons. This model, unique in France, could transport twenty people with their skis to the top of Le Reguet in six minutes.
Between (S/E) and (2), there is a splendid panorama of the Aravis mountain range.
