From Albertville, climb up into the Beaufortain and then to the Col des Saisies on the Hauteluce side. The start of this route is in the heart of the resort, just before the overpass crossing the road.
(S/E) Take the stairs to the Erwin ECKL area and turn right to take the marked pedestrian and snowshoe trail along the start of the toboggan run, which climbs eastwards to the Col de la Lézette at the foot of an artificial lake (which feeds the snow cannons).
(1) Turn right to follow the trail downhill to the Col de la Legette.
(2) From the pass, continue on the level road towards the north-east to Plan Corbet, a threshold at the crossroads of trails.
(3) Continue northeast on the road that climbs, passing the Brichou junction.
(4) The road leaves the forest and reaches a ridge, which it crosses to pass to the north-west side.
(5) At the Sous le Clocher sign, leave the road temporarily and take the ridge path on the right, which climbs in stages to the summit of Mont Clocher, marked by a cross.
(6) Follow the ridge of this summit northwards, which descends to join the groomed road that continues level until the Combe de Douce junction.
(7) Leave the trail to the right towards Col de Véry (return route) to go around a new lake on the left that feeds the snow cannons. Then leave the path to the left towards the Douce chairlift and climb up opposite, heading for the Bellasta chairlift arrival point.
(8) Pass to the left of the arrival station and continue straight ahead on a wide ridge that descends to the foot of Mont de Vorès.
(9) Leave the trail to the left towards the Trois Coins ski lift and climb the last slopes of Mont de Vorès opposite. The climb is steep but can be done facing the slope; otherwise, the turns made by ski tourers make it easier to climb.
(10) From the summit, head along the north-east ridge and descend to the pass at an altitude of 2039, which separates the summit from its northern secondary summit.
(11) Bear right to pass under this secondary summit and reach the east-facing ridge that descends towards the Col de Véry and the Refuge de la Croix de Pierre.
(12) At the foot of the refuge, take the gently sloping path down from the pass towards the south-west.
(13) Pass the Bellasta chalet (restaurant), continue on level ground and, from the passage under the Bellasta chairlift, climb a steady slope to the Combe de Douce crossroads.
(7) Head south on the route you took on the way up, cut under Mont Clocher, veering southwest, and descend to the Brichou junction, then to Plan Corbet.
(3) There, rather than taking the somewhat monotonous road, take theGRP® marked trail just to the right of the road into the forest, which is more pleasant, at the cost of a slight climb (at an altitude of 1823), which then descends to the Col de la Legette.
(2) From the pass, head westwards back up the path you took on the way up
(1) Pass the Col de la Lézette and its mountain restaurant and follow the footpath downhill back to the resort (S/E).
A lovely family walk. Magnificent views and the comfort of a good wheat beer at Patafan,
