Park in one of the car parks at Col des Saisies.
(S/E) Take the stairs to the Espace Erwin Eckl and turn right across the ski slope. Pass under the ski lift and take the footpath alongside the start of the toboggan run.
(1) Follow the marked footpath and snowshoe trail, heading east, and cross the Route des Crêtes ski slope. Pass the mountain restaurant on your left and continue to the Col de la Lézette at the foot of an artificial lake, which supplies the snow cannons. Here you will find a signpost indicating the crossroads.
(2) Head towards Plan Chardon, pass under the Trolliers ski lift and reach the ski slope. Cross it and continue along the relatively easy agricultural track. Go through the barrier and then walk alongside the old Trolllier chalets.
(3) Continue along the track and cross the wooded area to reach the crossroads before Plan Chardon.
(4) Continue left on the path towards Chard du Beurre. Pass the old chalet with its wooden shingles and continue to reach the groomed footpath, which is not marked on the map.
(5) Follow it to the right and you will reach the observation footbridge at the top of Chard du Beurre.
(6) Here, take theGRP® Tour du Beaufortain trail, marked in red and yellow, and continue to the trail junction marked by a signpost.
(7) Leave theGRP® here and turn left. Begin an easy climb to reach the Covetan chairlift.
(8) Cross afirst ski slope, then asecond. Walk past the mountain restaurant.
(9) Cross the Nant Rouge and then arrive at the Col des Saisies car park (S/E).
