Description of the walk

Start at the Adoubes car park

(S/E) Take Avenue de Tarentaise (D925) towards Beaufort for about 200m

(1) Turn right onto the old Beaufort road and follow it for about 2 km.

(2) Continue to the right onto the Route du Bon Noyer, then follow the road alongside the cemetery.

(3) Take the hairpin bend to the right onto the Route de la Bottière, heading downhill, until you reach a crossroads. Continue to the left to pass through the hamlet.

(4) Take the road towards Fort du Mont, then take a small path on the right which passes close to the hamlet of La Forezat. Turn right to cross the hamlet. In front of a castle, follow the Chemin François Gravin to the left. After 50 metres, follow the path to the right to reach the vicinity of Conflans cemetery.

(5) Go round the cemetery on the right to join the road on the right leading to the starting car park (S/E).

An ideal route for recovering between two more challenging hikes, very pleasant with beautiful views of Albertville, the Dent de Cons and the Belle Étoile

Please note that the route starts along a very busy road with no pavement or other facilities. Once you’ve passed the first 200 metres, you’ll reach a much quieter road. We’ve only noted the first quarter of the route, as we decided to turn off to avoid the main road as much as possible and enjoy the forest paths.

Lovely views of Albertville and the valley. Personally, I did the cycle ride – it was brilliant!

A pleasant little walk, but nothing particularly interesting. In September, the route is lined with orchards galore, with apple trees all along the way, which adds a touch of charm to this route, which is almost entirely paved from start to finish.
