Between the Benedictine Abbey of Triors and the Chapel of Gillons, you may encounter monks who also enjoy the tranquillity of these paths, which pass by beautiful walnut groves and close to the foothills of the Drôme hills.
Bonne Combe - Porte de Drômardèche
Right from the start of the route, you will have a great time on a fun little trail along the river. The only climb, which is a little long, will take you to the highest point of the circular route, offering you a beautiful view of the Hauterives valley.

This route takes you across fields, but very often on small tarmac roads, allowing you to discover what the environment of Facteur Cheval might have been like. Perhaps some parts of the route were even part of his daily rounds!

This varied walk first winds along the Galaure river before climbing up the hill. It meanders through the woods before returning to the village of Hauterives, in front of the Palais Idéal. Read the practical information before setting off. There is a ford to cross. If you wish, you can shorten the route and do only a 7 km circular route.
La Combe Oternaud and the Bois de Sizay - Pays de l'Herbasse
A short route offering a taste of the main types of trails found in the Drôme des Collines: sand, gravel, woodland, valleys... The two main climbs are relatively steep and lead to some lovely views.

This route runs alongside the Herbasse for much of the way, passing through gardens, fields and woods, and reaches Lac de Champos, its campsite and leisure centre, avoiding tarmac as much as possible. It ends at the charming little Parc Georges Bert.
Hamlet of Saint-Ange at the start of Peyrins
This hike starting from Peyrins takes you up the first (gentle) slopes of the Drôme des Collines, through varied countryside. Given the terrain, walkers can enjoy beautiful views of the west and then the east of the region.
The Crêtes de Saint-Lattier
You will start at the lowest point in Saint-Lattier and climb to the highest point, where you will enjoy a 360° view of the Vercors, Drôme and Ardèche mountains. The cobbled climb, an ancient medieval road, leads to Bel Aire. Along the way, you can admire the paving, the structures from the period and the ruts carved out by the carts and wagons that used to travel to the castle mound known as "Le Pain Sucre", which dominates the Saint-Lattier valley.
