At the entrance to St-Donat, follow the RANDO CROQUIS signs towards Châteauneuf de Galaure. In the town centre, opposite the Chartron restaurant, take the road towards Bathernay and continue for 3 km.
Parking: picnic area on the right at the entrance to the Bois de Sizay.
(S/E) At the car park on the right, take the path on the right towards Lac de Champos. Cross the woods and turn right to follow the edge of the valley (you will be walking in the bed of a stream in the sand).
(1) Cross the road and continue along the path at the bottom of the Combe d'Oternaud. After the Bâties crossroads, continue along the path to the Chabran bridge (small submersible bridge), which you must cross.
(2) Continue left along the small path alongside the fence for about 100 metres.
Go under the bridge and you will arrive at the banks of the Herbasse. Continue on the left along the path going up the Herbasse to the Champos lake. Facing the lake, go to the Auberge (large building) on the left.
(3) Behind the inn, cross under the D67 road and climb the marly slope on the right in the meadow to reach the path in the woods. At the edge of the woods, continue along the grassy path on the right, climbing uphill to reach the paved road (beautiful view of the Vercors and the Herbasse valley).
(4) Continue along the road. After the first hamlet, turn left until you reach the Pinates crossroads and continue on the left until you reach the Balayer farm.
(5) In front of the house, take the path on the right. Continue straight ahead through the woods, descending steadily until you reach the D584.
(6) Cross the road and take the path opposite. Follow the Sizay woods.
(7) At Gros Chêne, turn left and continue up a steep hill. After a short flat section, continue down a steep descent until you reach a perpendicular path (Nordmann crossroads).
(8) Turn right until the next intersection (Combe de Sizay).
(9) Keep left and finish by turning right about 700 metres further on to return to the car park (S/E).
