(S/E) Starting from the car park at the bottom of the village, walk up towards the village and turn left onto Rue Hector Garaud, then turn right to climb Goulet du Chapeau Rouge. At the top of the hill, you will arrive at Place de la Mairie. Take Grande Rue on the left to exit via Porte de Lyon, which you follow northwards. At the fork, turn onto the Bayet road and continue for about 100 metres.
(1) Turn left to enter Combe de l'Enfer and continue along Chemin Abraham to pass this locality.
(2) At the fork, turn left onto Chemin des Combes until you reach the intersection with another path.
(3) Turn right onto the path that climbs steeply along the edge of the field, cross the D 20B and continue along the path opposite. Take another road to reach the hamlet of La Jayère and take the time to visit the 14th-century Notre-Dame de la Jayère Church, 100 metres away.
(4) Retrace your steps, turn right at the entrance to the hamlet and join the Route de Notre-Dame de la Jayère.
(5) At the fork, take the left-hand path to enter the forest, then continue straight ahead, passing in front of the hunting lodge. Head south, following the path along the ridge, and don't miss the view of the abbey between the trees!
(6) At the orientation table, continue straight ahead and turn left after 100 metres. Turn left again immediately afterwards, then start the descent towards Combe de Fontfroide to come out at the hamlet of Montmartel.
(7) Turn left at the exit of the hamlet until you reach a path on the right.
(8) Before a bench, there is a small path that descends along the cliff. Take care on this section! You can avoid it by taking the road. You will come out at the stonemason's. Turn right onto Rue des Terreaux and continue to the car park at the bottom of the village (S/E).
