Park in the car park at the bottom of the village.
(S/E) Go up the Chemin des Buttes after crossing Rue Hector Garaud.
(1) Climb the stairs to the car park at the top of the village. Climb the fairly steep tarmac path that branches off to the right as you leave the car park. At the top of this path, turn right, walk past the caves to an opening in a wall, then take the small path on the right that winds between the trees.
(2) Turn left at the end of this small path, go up the path, then follow the road to the hamlet of La Chabeaudière. At the four-way crossroads below the hamlet, turn left.
(3) Once at the crossroads, go straight ahead, then keep right on Chemin du Lac. Continue straight ahead to Étang de Chapaize and walk along the bank under the dyke.
(4) Turn left, pass in front of the Parc de Loisirs and continue along the path that runs alongside the lake, then veers off to the right.
(5) At the end of the field, turn left to follow it, then go back 50 metres to find a small path that branches off to the right into the woods. Cross the stream and begin a difficult climb on the right along this small path through the undergrowth, which leads to a T-junction.
(6) Turn left and join a road.
(7) Follow it to the left to reach the Enclos fork. At the cross, turn right onto Chemin de l'Enclos to return to the Abbey and admire the view.
(8) At the football stadium, keep to the right and follow the Sentier du Flâneur, which will take you under the cemetery near a stream. Then, when you reach the village, cross the Grande Rue and take the road almost opposite, under the house at the Roue de Charrette. Then turn left to cross a small bridge, follow Rue de l'Hôpital des Pauvres to the left, then turn right onto Rue de la Paix. Turn left onto Rue Corsière.
(9) Turn left onto Goulet du Chapeau Rouge to go back up to Place de la Mairie. Turn right until you reach the initial crossroads.
(1) Turn right to rejoin Chemin des Buttes, which leads back down to the car park and ends this walk (S/E).
