Access: From Saint-Donat-sur-l'Herbasse, take the D584 towards Barthenay. A few small Rando Croquis signs are placed at certain intersections from the town centre.
About 3 kilometres from the town centre, there is a rest area with parking on the right-hand side of the road.

(S/E) From the car park, with your back to the information boards, cross the road and head towards the path opposite (wooden signs). Climb a few stone steps and follow the path furthest to the left. Pass under the first Rando Croquis workshop.
Follow the path shared with the botanical trail. After the second sketch workshop, leave a vague path on your left and climb up a stony section. Further on, cut across a path (not marked on the map) and join the Combe de Sizay crossroads.
(1) Turn left towards Les Fauries. Further on, go through a wooden gate and you will come to a cleared area (with tables). Cross the clearing to reach a path (there is a marker 30 metres to the left). Turn right onto the path, pass a picnic table and then a clearing (wood cutting) and after one kilometre you will arrive at the Gros Chêne marker.

(2) Turn right towards Le Nordmann, passing through a gate. 150 metres further on, ignore a path on the left and continue through the woods. Climb up some rocky terrain, then rejoin a good path that leads to a more open area (cleared woodland). Descend and you will arrive at a T-junction.
(3) Turn right and descend to the Nordmann marker. Keep left to find the Rando Croquis markings for 150m.
(4) Leave the main path and turn right onto a smaller path (sign). Descend for about 500 metres to reach the road. Cross over to reach the car park (S/E)
