Start by passing through La Massetière in the commune of Hauterive via the D51 departmental road. Turn right (signposted Labyrinthes Hauterives) and after 400 m, at thefirst crossroads, turn left onto Route de Gallardière. After about 400 m, park onthe first road on the right before the house.
(S/E) Return along the same road to the crossroads and keep left.
(1) Turn left southwards onto the path that enters Bois Billou. Continue straight ahead until you reach the junction with Route de Bonne Combe and continue for about 30 metres to the left.
(2) Turn right onto the path. At the first fork, take the left branch.
(3) Keep left again: the path splits but the two branches rejoin further on. Once at the junction, continue left to quickly reach a T-junction. Turn right to come out onto Route de Pillonnière.
(4) Turn left, continue straight ahead until you reach the junction with Route de Saint-Christophe and turn right for about 50 metres, crossing the road.
(5) Turn left just before the crossroads, enter the Bois de Côte Lune and turn left at thefirst path. At the next junction, turn right and descend for about 250 metres, then turn left to go back up. Continue straight ahead to join the D66 (Route de Saint-Christophe). Cross and walk about 30 metres to the right until you reach two paths on the left.
(6) Take the one on the right. At the intersection, keep to the right and continue straight ahead until you reach the next inverted Y-junction.
(7) Turn left onto Chemin de Planes and continue straight ahead: the descent is steady almost to the end of the route. The path becomes tarmac at Combe Claire and passes two houses.
(8) At the junction at Trièves, turn right. Then turn left onto Route de Galliardière and return to the car park (S/E).
