Oderen walks
From Oderen up to Trehkopf via Uhufels and Gommkopf, returning via Katzensteg
From Oderen, a magnificent climb to Trehkopf, a paradise for paragliders, passing by the viewpoints of Uhufels and Gommkopf over the valley and the surrounding Vosges peaks, via the Treackerké shelter and the old Trehkopf cemetery, following pleasant paths mostly through the forest. After enjoying the ridges of Trehkopf and Jungfrauenkopf and a 360° view, the return journey will take you via the Treh farmhouse inn, Sainte-Anne Chapel, the Schalm shelter, the Katzensteg viewpoint and the Hensbach woods.
Le Drumont and Les Ventron from the Chapelle Saint-Nicolas
A fairly strenuous walk starting from the Chapelle Saint-Nicolas, heading to the Drumont and its magnificent viewpoint, then on to the Grand Ventron, before descending via the Kruth and Frenz dams. Magnificent views of the wild forests on the Alsatian side, the Ventron massif and, of course, several 360° views of the Vosges mountain range.
Le Drumont from the See peat bog
The Drumont is one of the iconic peaks of the Vosges. Although much less well known than the Grand Ballon or the Ballon d'Alsace, it is an ideal spot for lovers of 360° panoramic views. The area is very popular with paragliders. This hike takes you up the Drumont from the Tourbière du See, which is home to a rich natural heritage. The outward journey follows the most direct route and the return journey takes you via the waterfalls and the Saint-Nicolas Chapel. To finish the hike, there are two small hills to climb, which offer views of the Thur valley.
From Kruth to Schafert
A beautiful hike in the rear valley of the Thur, near Lake Kruth-Wildenstein, which will take you to the heights of Kruth, with beautiful views of the upper valley and the Rossberg-Thannerhubel massif.
Grand tour of the Huselberg
From the village of Husseren-Wesserling to Storckensohn, the Chauvelin route is a route for lovers of beautiful landscapes and views. Le Chauvelin, one of whose highest points is the Huselberg (706 m), is an isolated mountain in the heart of the Saint-Amarin valley. This rocky outcrop has withstood the passage of powerful glaciers. This walk takes you back to the time of the glaciers and the pastoralism of our ancestors.

The Frenz circuit starting from Les Quatre Saisons in Kruth
Perched at an altitude of 800 metres above the village of Kruth in the Saint-Amarin valley, the small four-season resort of Le Frenz, with its old farmhouses and chalets, is a bucolic mountain haven of peace. A route takes you around the area, allowing you to admire the site from every angle, starting with the splendid panorama it offers of the Great Vosges Ridge.

In the vicinity of Markstein
A circuit mostly on stubble fields. There is little elevation gain, the trails are marked, and there are two farm inns and a restaurant along the way. There are beautiful views from the stubble fields. Many activities other than hiking: summer tobogganing, hang gliding, meals at farm inns, skiing in winter.
Rouge Gazon from Urbes

This route has all the ingredients for a great hike in the Vosges mountains, including panoramic views of the peaks and valleys, well-marked trails laid out by the Club Vosgien, including over thatch, and visits to a number of farm inns.

This is a beautiful hike, although quite strenuous, and is reserved for experienced hikers who want to enjoy a great day out, discover the biotope and take in the many views.
From the Ferme-auberge du Felsach to the Grand Ventron via the Chaume de Vintergès
Starting from the Ferme-auberge du Felsach, a magnificent ridge path crosses the Grand Ventron National Nature Reserve. Old beech forests and preserved beech-fir forests give way to open heathland, offering superb views over the Saint-Amarin valley and the Lorraine Vosges. This route is a round trip, with a short circular loop around the Grand Ventron.

This route in the Hautes Vosges is not difficult and offers beautiful views of the surrounding valleys. There are four places to eat along the way.
The Grand Ballon from the Markstein
A beautiful hike, done in January. You'll discover the snow-covered ridge road and the ridge trail, which is a pleasure to walk along!
Snowshoe route of the Markstein inns
This route offers beautiful panoramic views (in good weather) and, for food lovers, three stops at inns.
Allow three hours of walking (bearing in mind that we took our time to take photos and admire the scenery), without stopping at any of the three inns.
Circular route via the Treh farmhouse inn and Trehkopf from Markstein.
Starting from the first car park at the entrance to the Markstein resort, in the triangle formed by the D430, D731 and Route des Crêtes (closed in winter), the route follows forest trails and paths. Part of the route runs alongside ski slopes and crosses beautiful wooded areas.You will pass above the Markstein farmhouse inn, visible below. The trail then continues through a pleasant coniferous forest before reaching the Treh farmhouse inn, an iconic landmark in the area.From this inn, the climb becomes steeper towards Trehkopf. The ascent, short but dynamic, leads to an altitude of over 1,200 metres. At the summit, your efforts are richly rewarded with a generous panorama of the Vosges mountains. On a clear day, the view extends even further, revealing the Alps on the horizon.
Markstein-Lac de la Lauch-Col d'Oberlauchen-Col d'Hahnenbrunnen-Trehkopf
The first half of the route, up to (5), is wooded, which is pleasant in hot weather. The second part, however, follows theGR®5in open country. There are no major difficulties, except perhaps the slightly steep climb to the Col d'Oberlauchen.
There are beautiful views during this hike, particularly at the Col d'Oberlauchen, then all along theGR®5and at the summit of the Trehkopft.

Les deux Ventrons au départ du Col d'Oderen
The route takes you through a beautiful forest with a variety of tree species and alpine pastures. On a clear day, there are beautiful views of the Bernese Alps from the summit of Grand Ventron and Tête du Chat Sauvage.Ideal route in hot weather... but also in mixed weather as the trees provide some protection from the rain.
The Felsach Farm Inn from the Col d'Oderen
This beautiful circular route starting from the Col d'Oderen quickly takes hikers up onto the ridges towards the Felsach farmhouse inn. It then offers a superb panoramic descent to the Frenz resort (Kruth), followed by a climb back up to the pass via the valley floor through a charming old mountain forest.
Le Drumont from the Col d'Oderen
Straddling the Haut-Rhin and the Vosges (or Alsace and Lorraine), come and discover this original hike starting from the Col d'Oderen.
The fairly steep start is compensated for by the landscapes and superb panoramic views from the Tête de Fellering, as well as the Drumont orientation table.
Saint-Amarin - Mitzach / Tour du Hirschenbach - Sentier des Poètes variant
A pleasant circular route suitable for families or groups with inexperienced walkers and/or children. Numerous opportunities for breaks and stunning views over the Mitzach and Saint-Amarin valleys. You can shorten the walk by taking "shortcuts" to the valley at the end of the route and change the direction of the circular route by starting from Saint-Amarin and taking theGR®532(Yellow Rectangle) and/or following the "vita" route. However, this direction will be a little more "challenging" for those who are less physically fit.
On the heights of Lake Kruth
This short family hike takes you up to the ruins of Wildenstein Castle along a discovery trail dotted with information panels. On the way back down, you can walk around the lake and, once you arrive, enjoy the peaceful surroundings with a trip on a pedalo or, for the more energetic, a walk among the trees in the tree-top adventure park right next to the car park.
Around Lake Kruth
More of a Sunday stroll than a real hike, this trail around Lake Kruth-Wildenstein, which is accessible to people with disabilities, will give you a breath of fresh air. It is particularly pleasant in summer when it is very hot in the valley.
In the footsteps of Wildenstein Castle
Climb the granite lock of the Schlossberg and discover the history of Wildenstein Castle. Along the way, look for and find traces of human presence in these surprising places steeped in history. Enjoy the views of the lake and the villages of Kruth, Oderen and Wildenstein. This site offers a natural atmosphere full of life in both spring and summer. In winter, let yourself be carried away by the peaceful and magical atmosphere of this site.

A beautiful and enjoyable family walk around and above Lake Kruth, which can be combined with the discovery trail to the ruins of Schlossberg Castle.
The west balcony of Lake Kruth - Wildenstein via Wildenstein Castle
A beautiful hike that begins with a steep climb to the ruins of Wildenstein Castle. Continue through the forest via the Abri du Tal and the top of the Bockloch waterfall to reach the village of Wildenstein. Return along the Thur and the western shore of the lake.
Tour du Mehrbächel from Saint-Amarin
A pleasant walk nestled in a small, fairly wild valley below the Vosges ridges. Soak up the natural surroundings with numerous small springs and waterfalls along the way. The forest reveals its secrets, so keep your eyes peeled and you may spot some of its inhabitants.
Saint-Amarin - Mehrbächel - Geishouse circular
A beautiful hike starting from Saint-Amarin, which will take you to Hochstein, then to Mehrbächel, and back via the Vue des Alpes in Geishouse.

Walk on the high moorland via Lauchenkopf, Nonselkopf, Uff Rain and Salzbach.
Around the Grand Ventron heath
A superb route through woods and high-altitude meadows surrounded by blueberry bushes as far as the eye can see. On a clear day, you can see the Alps, and the orientation table in the middle of the route will show you where you are in the region and beyond.
