(S/E) From the Waga car park, head towards the railway line, which you cross before turning left at the junction and then right (Yellow Cross) to cross the field. The path skirts large hay meadows on the right. At the edge of the woods, follow the path on your right. At the next junction, continue straight ahead.
(1) At the second junction, turn left to head back up through the woods. After the fence, continue straight on. The path emerges from the woods and curves to the right, leading to a beautiful viewpoint.
(2) The path winds upwards and you soon reach a footbridge over a fence. On the left is a cowshed, which you go round to the right. At the junction, the path turns sharply right. After the tall trees, the path climbs for the final few metres and comes out onto a dirt track.
(3) Do not follow the route to Markstein–Treh via Katensteg; instead, turn right onto the unmarked path. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the villages a few metres past the feeding trough. At the end of the path, take a moment to watch the paragliders taking off from the site.
(4) Join the path that descends to the right. Go through a farm gate and follow the Red Disc marked trail, which bends first to the right and then to the left. After a sweeping bend, the path reaches a junction. Turn left, follow the farm fence on the right and take a break above the village of Fellering.
(5) Continue the descent and you’ll soon come across some black locust trees. As you go down, pass another farm fence and then turn right. On the left, you can hear a stream flowing, called the Siebach. On the tarmac road, stop at the Virgin’s Grotto just before the steepest descent.
(6) Head down towards the village, and at the crossroads, turn right to climb slightly. Take a path through the woods again, behind some houses.
(1) At the next junction, rejoin the outward route and follow it in the opposite direction to reach the Waga car park (S/E).
