The River Étel and Saint Cado

A beautiful walk along part of the Rivière d'Étel, taking in the Île de Saint-Cado and the little house on the Île de Nichtarguer.
The Pointe de Locmariaquer

Leaving from Locmariaquer, this hike takes in the coastline of the Golfe du Morbihan, the entrance to the gulf with a view of Port Navalo, and then on to the coast and even the ocean.
Along the way, you'll discover numerous dolmens and megalithic sites (including the famous Table des Marchands).

La Côte Sauvage on the Quiberon peninsula

Stroll along the cliffs of the Côte Sauvage on the Quiberon peninsula. Beautiful dunes, beaches and cliffs grace this side of the Quiberon peninsula, where the power of the sea is fully expressed.
The Ria through the pine forests

The Ria d'Étel is always changing.
At low tide, vast expanses of mudflats are interspersed with tiny or larger areas covered with all kinds of plants and birds.
At high tide, it is the sea with its tiny or large islets.
And inland, there is low-lying, sometimes marshy land with pine forests stretching to the coast, on sandy, sometimes rocky soil.
And there is no shortage of colour. I have been there several times and the photos of the same place are never the same.
Loop around Île aux Moines

Hike on Île aux Moines, the largest of the islands in the Gulf of Morbihan. Beautiful beaches, lush vegetation, stunning views and archaeological monuments will ensure you have a wonderful day.
Pointe du Bil to Port Anna, Brittany

Dog-friendly circular walk to discover the start of Vannes river, at the end of the Gulf of Morbihan.

The tip of the Quiberon peninsula

A very beautiful hike that allows you to discover both sides of the Quiberon coast: the wild west coast and the bay on the east side. Cross the large beach and return via Port Haliguen.
After the large beach, pass in front of the thalassotherapy centre and continue to the Pointe du Conguel where, in good weather, you can see the islands of Houat and Hoedic beyond the Teignouse lighthouse.
The two rivers of Auray and Sal

The rivers of Auray (Loc'h) and Sal (Bono) enjoy a preserved environment and a varied heritage: the Sainte-Avoye chapel and its rood screen, the boat cemetery and the old Bono bridge.
Le Bono via the Becquerel chapel

Beautiful hike which, in its first part, follows the Bono river then crosses countryside and undergrowth to return to the starting point.
Very few roads, nice path.
Arzon - Port Navalo

A very pretty loop that takes you around Pointe de Arzon.
Discover Port du Crouesty and Pointe de Port Navalo, with a possible connection to Locmariaquer to cross to the other side of the gulf.
Around the Ile d'Arz island in the Gulf of Morbihan

Loop around the picturesque island "Ile-d'Arz" in the middle of the gulf "Golfe of Morbihan". On this walk, you'll discover a tide mill, beautiful beaches and sumptuous views over the gulf, all in a wild and well-preserved setting.
The Kerzerho Alignments

This hike allows you to discover many monuments from the distant Neolithic period (5000 to 2500 BC). Dolmens, menhirs and cromlechs can be found throughout this very pretty hike.
Locmariaquer: a path strewn with stones

The upper jaw that closes the Gulf of Morbihan is dotted with stone teeth. The circuit around the Pointe de Locmariaquer stretches from the ocean to the peaceful shores of the Gulf, stopping off at several of the sites that have made this megalithic site famous.
NB: It appears that the passage between points 5 and 6 is no longer possible. Follow theGR® 34 markings, which have themselves been modified.
La Roche-Bernard bridge loop

An hour-and-a-half circuit with a few tricky sections. This pleasant walk alternates seamlessly between passages at water's edge and ridge-climbing, and also spans two bridges some 50 m above the Vilaine. The bridge circuit allows you to discover a small section of the river as it crosses the Sillon de Bretagne. Get your calves ready!
Kaolins in Ploemeur circular

A short, easy loop between countryside and seaside.
The Sentier des Douaniers in La Trinité-sur-Mer

From the port of La Trinité-sur-Mer, "the Mecca of sailing", the coastal path leads from beach to beach to the Pointe de Kerbihan and its viewpoint over Quiberon Bay. It continues on to the recently rehabilitated Kervillen salt marshes.
Tour of Houat Island

Houat Island, the island with two faces. Overrun by tourists in summer, it offers beaches and a rocky coastline. In the quieter winter months, you can discover its true identity.

From the chapel of Sainte-Avoye to Saint-Goustan

Starting from Le Bono, this hike will allow you to discover the coastline of the Bras du Bono to the chapel of Saint-Avoye. Then, crossing the countryside, you will pass along the Bras de l'Auray river to Saint-Goustan.
There is little road and a pretty path along the two rivers (on the right side of the Gulf of Morbihan).

Larmor-Baden and Berder Island circular

At the heart of an oyster-farming basin, Larmor-Baden offers a wide range of discoveries: Île Berder, accessible at low tide, the pier for the famous Cairn de Gavrinis, and views of the many islets.
Set back from the sea, the ornithological reserve of the Marais de Pen en Toul.
Loop starting from Pointe de la Vieille Chapelle

The Carnac alignments

Discover a world-famous prehistoric site that takes you back 7,000 years! In addition to the famous alignments of Ménec and Kermario, the hike takes in the moving Manio quadrangle and the giant menhir of the same name, two tumuli, including the imposing Tumulus Saint-Michel topped by a chapel, and two ancient fountains. A very varied route through moors, woods and meadows.
Around Larmor-Baden

A route with a wide variety of landscapes, making a large loop around Larmor-Baden from the island "Île Berder" toward the Pen En Toul swamp, the hamlet of La Saline, the Locmiquel cove and the point "Pointe du Berchis". You'll discover the little-known history of Brittany's first airfield, the bird sanctuary and the old salt marshes.
From Pomper Mill to Pointe d'Arradon

A very pleasant walk from the old Pomper Mill, now converted into an antique shop, to Pointe d'Arradon. The route starts along the coast of the Gulf of Morbihan and returns through the countryside. Discover the village of Le Moustoir with its old farmhouses.
Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys: Pointe du Grand Mont and Seafront

Before or after visiting the former abbey church, head for the tip "Pointe du Grand Mont" and discover the port "Port aux Moines".View of the open sea, from the Quiberon peninsula to Belle-Île.
Le Bono via Baie de Kerdrean

Start from the old bridge at Le Bono, down along the river to the bay "Baie de Kerdréan".
The hike is partly along the gulf and partly in the countryside.
It starts with the Tumulus de Kernourz and runs halfway along the Manoir de Kerdréan.
The beaches and Suscinio Castle

Suscinio Castle stands near the sea and on the edge of an area of ponds and marshes. Before visiting this superb fortified castle, this hike offers a route along the coast and then inland. Several variations are possible.
Arradon: Keranna - Bourgerel

A beautiful walk from which you'll get to discover in the distance the island of Conleau, the port "Port Anna" and the entrance to the Vannes river. The inland section reveals some beautiful residences.

This route takes you around the entire Île d'Arz, passing by various headlands offering very different views.A stop in the village offers a view of the old priory and church.
From Maresclé beach to Haut-Pénestin along the coast and other paths

This hike starts at the car park of the Mine d’Or beach, along the coast north to Haut-Pénestin, to return by internal paths to reach the sea at Maresclé beach and then the starting point.
Rochefort-en-Terre and the slate quarries of Pluherlin

In the middle of moors and woods, Rochefort-en-Terre, perched on a rocky spur, is one of the most beautiful villages in France. With its cobbled streets and stylish signs, the town is like a little gem nestled in the heart of Morbihan. From the village, there is a beautiful walk along the ridges and former slate quarries of Pluherlin.
The route is very varied, passing through moors, undergrowth and ridges.
It passes through the villages of Rochefort-en-Terre and Pluherlin.

A very pleasant hike to discover the two tips "Pointe de Bernon" and "Pointe de L' Ours". The looped route starts along the coast of the gulf "Golfe du Morbihan" and returns through the countryside.
Baden and Larmor Baden via the Pointe de Locmiquel

The Baden loop in Larmor-Baden allows you to discover the Toulvern Dolmen, the Pointe de Locmiquel and views of the islands of Er Runio, Grand Veïzit and Radenec.
At low tide, it is possible to tour the "7 Islands".
From Pont Sal Castle to the Chapel of Notre-Dame de Béquerel

This is a pleasant and varied walk which, from Pont-Sal, follows the left bank of the Sal estuary, passing in front of the Pont-Sal mill via a recent footpath (created in 2017). It continues along the Bono river to the Kervilio mill. The return journey takes you past the Becquerel Chapel and the village of Plougoumelen to Pont-Sal via a series of paths typical of the Breton bocage. You'll want to come back again.
Loch trail in Guidel (Sentier des Loch)

This route takes in the Loch Reserve. A former arm of the sea that has been reclaimed and transformed into marshland.It's home to many species of flora and fauna. You'll cross reedy wetlands and enjoy birdwatching.
Between the countryside and the sea, leaving from Billiers.

A pretty walk between the countryside and the seaside. The Pointe de Penn Lann stands guard over the Vilaine Estuary.
Around Hennebont and the towpath

An easy loop starting from Hennebont. Pass through Saint-Antoine, Saint-Gilles, the Quelennec lock, and return to Hennebont via the towpath through Lochrist.

Le Bono

A beautiful walk, mainly following footpaths, waterside, forest, and past a beautiful historical chapel. Perfect for a run too!
Anse du Téno - Pluneret
Wet and dry moorland, woods, embankments, river, sea, mudflats, wet meadows... the natural environments are all interwoven here. The banks of the River Sal are also home to the Sainte-Avoye chapel.
Brocéliande: a legendary forest

For the potential believer, this is the forest where a magician (Merlin the Enchanter) and a fairy (Viviane the Fairy) met. For the same walker, it's also where Arthur's Knights met at the Round Table. Finally, will the walker see the fairies who took to the water? before meeting the fairy Morgane, who locks up all knights unfaithful to their oath of love in an impenetrable prison of air (the Val sans Retour). A vast program.
Sainte-Barbe and Plouharnel Beach

This easy walk takes in the beautiful beach of Plouharnel for watersports enthusiasts, and the countryside with its menhirs and fountains.
Le Hézo: between marshes and the Gulf of Morbihan

A short family walk between former salt marshes, now a bird sanctuary, and the Gulf of Morbihan.
Tour of "Pointe de Penvins" and "Becudo"

A short, easy walk along the south coast of Sarzeau, overlooking the ocean and the tip of "Penvins" ("Pointe de Penvins"). Extensive views out to sea, with the islands of Belle-Île, Houat and Hoedic to the east.
Coastal route from Portivy
Once you pass the Penthièvre isthmus, dominated by the imposing fort of the same name, you enter the Quiberon peninsula. The small port of Portivy enjoys peaceful days halfway between the fort and the Pointe du Percho. It is an excellent starting point for a walk between the eastern coast, where the most beautiful villas are located, and the much wilder western coast.

This walk takes you along the Blavet estuary, between woodlands and salted meadows. Beautiful landscapes, fauna, flora, and a fascinating boat cemetery.

Tour de Larmor in Pénestin

Pénestin is just a stone's throw away from being an island. Although its ocean side faces the Atlantic, it is only connected to the hinterland by a strip of land wedged between two marshes. The suggested route takes you through the southern part of the area, formerly known as Larmor, between the Pont Mahé marshes and the cliffs of Lanchale and Le Bile.
Short circuit around the Sédon

Starting from Guéhenno, famous for its monumental calvary, the route passes through several hamlets around the River Sédon, as well as through woods and along field edges. Most of the route is on paths and, occasionally, on a few quiet roads.
The Saint-Philibert tour
