Arradon walks

A beautiful walk from which you'll get to discover in the distance the island of Conleau, the port "Port Anna" and the entrance to the Vannes river. The inland section reveals some beautiful residences. ⚠️Check tide times and coefficients.

From Benalo, head to Moulin de Pomper (small flea market shop in an old tide mill). We will follow coastal paths throughout (GR®34, tour of the Gulf of Morbihan). View of the coast and the islands of the gulf: Arz, Drenec, Logodec, aux Moines, d'Irus.

At the gates of Vannes, the Gulf of Morbihan narrows to form a stretch of water crossed by the Marle, an inlet that serves the city's port. It would not be possible to go around it if the Vannes public transport managers had not thought of chartering a ferry between Pointe de Conleau and Barrarac'h to cross this narrow stretch of sea. Then all you have to do is follow the shore to return to the starting point. However, be sure to check beforehand whether the ferry service is operating (usually from April to October). As this stretch of water is subject to the tides and it takes a good four hours to walk around it, you will have plenty of time to see how the landscape changes with the sea level. It is therefore impossible to get bored.

Loop around the picturesque island "Ile-d'Arz" in the middle of the gulf "Golfe of Morbihan". On this walk, you'll discover a tide mill, beautiful beaches and sumptuous views over the gulf, all in a wild and well-preserved setting.

A beautiful walk that takes you from the Conleau peninsula to discover the mouth of the River Vannes. The final stretch of the route takes you down the River Vincin.

This route takes you around the entire Île d'Arz, passing by various headlands offering very different views.A stop in the village offers a view of the old priory and church.

A very pleasant walk from the old Pomper Mill, now converted into an antique shop, to Pointe d'Arradon. The route starts along the coast of the Gulf of Morbihan and returns through the countryside. Discover the village of Le Moustoir with its old farmhouses.

Hike on Île aux Moines, the largest of the islands in the Gulf of Morbihan. Beautiful beaches, lush vegetation, stunning views and archaeological monuments will ensure you have a wonderful day.

It is the largest of the Gulf of Morbihan islands and ideally located for those prone to seasickness, with only a 5-minute boat crossing from Port-Blanc to Baden. A tour of the island allows you to appreciate all aspects of the Gulf. The southern and eastern points of the island are the wildest, while the northern and western points are home to most of the shops and houses.

Short walk to the Pointe du Trec'h on Île aux Moines. At the end of the walk, there is a beautiful view of the Pointe d'Arradon and Île d'Arz, all in the peaceful and beautiful Gulf of Morbihan.

This mainly coastal route departs from an old tide mill and heads to Port-Blanc. On the return journey, discover the Penmern Chapel and its magnificent maritime ex-votos.

A short hike that will allow you to discover the shores of the Gulf of Bois Bas, passing along Anse de Moustran, Toulindac Beach and Anse de Kerledan.

The old town of Vannes is full of reminders of its dense population in the Middle Ages, which you can discover on this short walk. In addition to numerous half-timbered houses, you can admire the old ramparts and the Tour du Connétable, Saint-Pierre Cathedral and the more recent Saint-Patern Church, beautiful gardens, and more. At the start and end of the walk, the Port of Vannes and its pleasure boats add a maritime touch to this urban route.

To the west of the Gulf of Morbihan, the sea surrounds the islands. In the east of the Petite Mer, it seems that the land surrounds a few inlets, as the land and sea appear to merge. This walk, which starts at Purgatoire (yes, that's the name of the place), will take you on a journey of discovery through this rather secret part of the Gulf, first along beautiful country lanes, then along the coastal path. To be enjoyed at different times of the tide.

From the village of Larmor-Baden, the route takes us to the Île des Sept Îles in the commune of Baden. Most of the route follows coastal paths (GR®34). Views of the coast, the entrance to the gulf and the islands (Île aux Moines, Île de Berder, Île de Gavrinis). Option to add a tour of Île de Berder to this route.

Dog-friendly circular walk to discover the start of Vannes river, at the end of the Gulf of Morbihan. Nice view on the marshes of Séné and some beautiful houses. Part of a birds sanctuary.

A route with a wide variety of landscapes, making a large loop around Larmor-Baden from the island "Île Berder" toward the Pen En Toul swamp, the hamlet of La Saline, the Locmiquel cove and the point "Pointe du Berchis". You'll discover the little-known history of Brittany's first airfield, the bird sanctuary and the old salt marshes.

At the heart of an oyster-farming basin, Larmor-Baden offers a wide range of discoveries: Île Berder, accessible at low tide, the pier for the famous Cairn de Gavrinis, and views of the many islets. Set back from the sea, the ornithological reserve of the Marais de Pen en Toul.

After the villages of Meriadec and Le Parun, where we will discover old houses and cottages, this walk will take us along the Auray River (Loc'h) and then the Bono River (Bono) to the small port. A very pretty walk, partly through woodland and partly along the coast.

This hike allows you to discover the small village of Mériadec (with some beautiful stone houses), Pointe du Blair (with beautiful villas on a protected estate) and to walk along part of the Rivière d'Auray.

The Baden loop in Larmor-Baden allows you to discover the Toulvern Dolmen, the Pointe de Locmiquel and views of the islands of Er Runio, Grand Veïzit and Radenec. At low tide, it is possible to tour the "7 Islands".

A well-deserved rest on this hike, as part of the journey is by boat, comfortably seated on a bench. Setting off from Larmor-Baden, we take a boat across to the island and the Gavrinis cairn, built around 3500 BC during the Neolithic period, then return to Larmor-Baden, where we’ll explore the nearby island of Berder on foot.

A short circular stage of the Tour du Golfe du Morbihan (TGM), around the Chapelle Saint-Laurent, the little village of Bindre and the Chenal de Saint-Léonard. This section of the Tour du Golfe du Morbihan, winding through hedgerows, sunken lanes and marshes, does not offer the most spectacular scenery, but it has the advantage of being close to Vannes and Séné, and accessible by public transport. Furthermore, several information boards add to the interest of the walk. From November to April, after the rains, parts of the path are muddy.

A circular loop in the Pont-Sal woods with a return trip to the Rochers du Cerf site in the commune of Plougoumelen. Forest, valley, river and countryside scenery. Includes a botanical trail. Suitable for all seasons.

This is a pleasant and varied walk which, from Pont-Sal, follows the left bank of the Sal estuary, passing in front of the Pont-Sal mill via a recent footpath (created in 2017). It continues along the Bono river to the Kervilio mill. The return journey takes you past the Becquerel Chapel and the village of Plougoumelen to Pont-Sal via a series of paths typical of the Breton bocage. You'll want to come back again.

Explore the bocage of Séné along the Gulf of Morbihan and visit the Ornithological Nature Reserve.

Magnificent views of the southern part of the gulf: the Godec, Iluric and Ilur islands in the foreground and the Île d’Arz in the background. Swimming is possible in the summer months, particularly at Bernon and near its headland. The coastline is mostly muddy along the route, particularly at the bottom of the cove. In winter and spring, there are plenty of birds to spot! From November to April, after rainfall, many sections of the path are very muddy.

A short round trip on the Tour du Golfe du Morbihan (TGM), from Bernon to Brillac in the municipality of Sarzeau. Magnificent views of the southern part of the gulf: the islands of Iluric, Godec, Stibidenn, Gohivan, Brannec, and further afield the larger islands: Arz and Île-aux-Moines. Swimming is possible in the summer months, particularly at Bernon and near Pointe de l'Ours. The coastline is mostly muddy along the route, but features a few small beaches. In winter, there are plenty of birds to spot! From November to April, after the rains, many sections of the path are very muddy, particularly between Pointe de l'Ours and Brillac.

A short round-trip walk from the Moulin de Kervilio in the commune of Le Bono to the Pointe de Kerisper in the commune of Pluneret. The route follows the River Bono to its confluence with the River Auray, passing through the port and across the old suspension bridge. Suitable for all seasons, but wear good walking shoes after rain!

A circular stage of the Tour du Golfe du Morbihan (TGM), covering the Sept-Îles and Pointe de Locmiquel sites in the municipality of Baden. Please check tide times and tidal ranges before attempting the crossing to the Sept-Îles peninsula. Magnificent views of the western part of the Gulf of Morbihan: numerous islands (including Grand and Petit Huernic, Er Runio, Radenec, Grand and Petit Veïzit, Île Longue and Gavrinis), Locmariaquer, Arzon, the Rivière d’Auray and Pointe du Blair, Larmor Baden and the mouth of the Gulf. Swimming is possible in the summer months, particularly at Sept-Îles Beach. In winter, there are many birds to watch.

From the Pen Castel tidal mill, this circular walk follows the coastal path all the way along the Saint-Nicolas, Kerners and La Palisse headlands until it joins another path heading inland to reach the Grah Niol covered walkway. The return journey follows paths cutting across the last two headlands to reach the Pointe de Saint-Nicolas and its superb coastal path, lined with spectacular trees that are just waiting to be admired once more before reaching the Pen Castel mill.

A very pretty loop that takes you around Pointe de Arzon. Discover Port du Crouesty and Pointe de Port Navalo, with a possible connection to Locmariaquer to cross to the other side of the gulf.

Hike from the Chapel of Kerners via Béninze, the peaks of Béché, Saint-Nicolas, Kerners and La Palisse, then back to Kerners. Land, sea and typical village: in short, a magnificent overview of the landscapes of the Rhuys peninsula.

A short, peaceful walk along a section ofthe GR®34Tour du Morbihan. At the Pointes de Kerners and La Palisse, views of the many islands in the Gulf from the south side. Pass through the Allée Couverte du Grah Niol and the picturesque hamlet of Kerners with its chapel.

In Arzon, the must-do activity is to hike along the path that winds its way along the headlands that close off the southern entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan, but connecting the Petite Mer to the ocean is also charming and allows you to compare the intimacy of the Gulf with the majestic panorama of Mor Braz and the islands that border it on the horizon.

Located 4km from the town centre, this peninsula, approximately 1km long and 200m wide, offers magnificent views of the Gulf of Morbihan along a delightful path lined with pine trees and mimosas. A superb walk between "Argoat" and "Armor" (Land and Sea). Allow 1 hour 20 minutes to complete the entire walk and take breaks to admire the scenery.

A lovely circular walk linking the village of Brillac to the old Pen Castel tide mill. The first part is in the countryside, often close to the coast. The next part follows the coast along a mostly shaded path offering pleasant views of the gulf (the islands) and passing through a few small villages, including the little port of Logéo.

Opposite Tascon Island, the former salt marshes of Lasné and Saint-Armel are a biodiversity reserve for both fauna and flora, and offer an ideal setting for a walk along the dykes, facing the bay between Tascon Island and the Passage Peninsula, completed by a circular route around the latter.

This hike near the town of Saint-Avé allows you to discover a landscape of moors and forests in the first part. In the second part, we follow rivers to discover the old mills. It is very varied, with lots of ups and downs.

A very pleasant hike to discover the two tips "Pointe de Bernon" and "Pointe de L' Ours". The looped route starts along the coast of the gulf "Golfe du Morbihan" and returns through the countryside.

From the small village of Arzon, the route is punctuated by passages through streets and alleys lined with fishermen's houses and other gardens of beautiful residences, as well as coastal paths. From the Bilgroix and Monténo headlands, there are beautiful views of the islands nestled in the Gulf of Morbihan. A family walk, without too much difficulty.

From Port Navalo to the outskirts of Île-aux-Moines, the northern coastline of the Rhuys Peninsula is dotted with points that jut out into the sea like the teeth of a jaw. Together with the islands opposite them, these points tear apart the waves entering and leaving the Gulf of Morbihan. The result is a spectacular sight when the power of the tide transforms the calm waters into a mighty river. Let yourself be guided along the coastal path and keep your eyes peeled!

A short family walk between former salt marshes, now a bird sanctuary, and the Gulf of Morbihan.

The route leads from Arzon to Suscinio Castle via safe paths (cycle paths or quiet roads) and returns via the village of Sarzeau.

From point to point, you will discover the southern coast of the Gulf of Morbihan, enjoying views of Île aux Moines, Île d'Ars and the entrance to the gulf, among others, as you pass through typical villages and discover the rich megalithic heritage.

From Port-Navalo at the entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan to Saint-Gildas de Rhuys, you will discover the Crouesty marina, then the coast and its beautiful beaches, followed by a wealth of megalithic sites. A short trip inland will also allow you to discover the ponds and marshlands, formerly salt marshes, which are particularly rich in biodiversity.

A short, round-trip section of the Tour du Golfe du Morbihan (TGM), from Kerjouanno Beach to Port Navalo via Le Petit Mont, in the municipality of Arzon. Magnificent views of the open sea, the Ponant Islands (Hoedic, Houat, Belle-Île) and the entrance to the Gulf. Swimming is possible at Fogeo Beach and Port Sable. Beware of high tides, especially in rough weather. The path offers little shelter from the wind.

A short, round-trip stage of the Tour du Golfe du Morbihan (TGM): from Pointe de Kerpenhir to Pointe er Hourél, along the coast of the Locmariaquer area. Views of the ocean, Quiberon Bay and the Rhuys Peninsula. A very beautiful walk along numerous beaches, so swimming is possible! Beware of high tides, especially in rough weather.

This route will allow you to discover part of the north coast of the Rhuys Peninsula with its castles, the Truscat salt marsh, its megalithic sites and its oyster beds. You will pass through small hamlets that have remained authentic.
