Getting to the start of the hike:
From Lanester, take the D194 towards Kervignac. Stay on this road, which changes to the D9 after the Kervignac exit. Continue to Plouhinec Kérisero. At the end of this village, take the road on the left towards Nestadio and Berringue. At the Y-junction, keep right towards Nestadio. The car park is about 500 metres further on, on the left.
From the Pont Lorois bridge, go straight ahead to the Kerpotence roundabout, then follow the signs for Lorient. After the Pont du Bisconte bridge, take the first road on the right towards Nestadio and Berringue. At the Y-junction, keep right towards Nestadio. The car park is about 500 metres further on, on the left.
Signposting: yellow line and circuit 4 of the Plouhinec hiking trails, often indicated on wooden signposts.
(S/E) At the end of the car park, take the path heading north-north-east until you reach the Y-junction.
(1) Turn left and follow the path that runs alongside the Ria. The path turns left onto dirt and comes out onto a small road at the entrance to a property.
(2) Cross the road and continue on the path that leads to the coast. Once again, you will arrive at the access road to the Moulin de Berringue.
(3) Keep right for a round trip to the pond north of the mill and arrive at the bridge that crosses the pond. In winter, various birds spend the winter here.
(3) On your way back, continue right on the path to reach a small road. Turn left, then take the next path on the right. After about 400 metres, passing a grove on your right, turn left onto a path that runs alongside a stream on your left.
(4) Follow this stream until you reach the road. The path first passes through a wood, then runs alongside a field and winds its way between the stream, which becomes a brook on the left, and wooden stakes on the right. Keep to the left of these stakes and respect the property. You will then arrive at the road near the Kerrichard Bridge.
(5) Take the road on the left, cross the bridge and turn right to rejoin a path that runs along the bank of the Ria. This part of the Ria is called the Vasière de Bisconte.
(6) Continue along a very narrow channel of the Ria called the Chenal de Bisconte.
(7) At the end of the Chenal de Bisconte, continue along the path beside the water and cross the Pont de Boèntèn.
(8) Take the path on the right and continue along the water until you reach a road.
(9) Admire the menhir on the left in the field. Continue along the road for 100 metres, then take the path on the right to go around the peninsula. Continue along the coast until you reach the road.
(10) Admire the Celtic cross 100 metres to your left. On your way back, continue straight ahead until you reach the Saint-Guillaume chapel. Then follow the Rivière d'Étel until you reach the next oyster farms. Before entering the farms, turn left and head towards the shore.
(11) Admire the Pont er Hah, an old ford that is still used by the oyster farmers opposite. Continue along the foreshore until you reach the Y-junction.
(1) A sign indicates that you should turn left and continue for 200 metres to reach the Plouhinec Kerrichard car park (S/E).
