(S) Park near the Grées car park (along the road, it’s free).
(1) Walk up the road to the crossroads and turn right (D774, other directions). Walk down to the village of Saint-Nicolas and turn left onto theGR®®38, Rue Saint-Nicolas. Follow theGR®®38to the right. At the top, turn left, then at the junction turn right and left. Cross the junction and turn right.
(2) Cross the D777a and head straight ahead. Take theGR®® to the left and, at the end of the path, take the small road to the right. Return to the path on the left.
(3) Leave theGR®® and turn left. At the end of the path, take the road on the left. Continue and pass in front of Les Landaises. Take the first road on the right, towards Resteblay. Continue straight on and cross the D777, then Coët Daly.
(4) At Coët Daly, take the footpath on the left, and at the end of the path turn left. At the junction, cross over; before the church, walk past it.
(5) Turn right and take the Chemin de Bézy. Turn left and, when you reach the road, take the path on the left. Before the quarry, take the path on the left. Turn left again and then left once more (see the Gaulois fountain).
(6) At the pond, go round to the right. At the end, follow the road. At the crossroads, turn right (Sous le Bois hamlet). At the end of the hamlet, take the path opposite. At the end of the path, turn left.
At the junction, turn left and, at the road, left again.
(7) Along the road, take the side lane on the left (La ville ès Braies); at the end, rejoin the road on the left.
(8) When you reach the lake, walk along the edge and take the path to the left of the road on the right.
(9) Leave the path and take the road to the left. Stop at the wash house on the right.
Go under the arch and take the steps opposite. At the top, take the street opposite. When you reach the main street, turn right. Visit Rochefort with its picturesque houses and shops.
Follow the street to the end and return to the road at the starting point (S/E).
