A route that takes you past several crosses located within the town. It also takes you close to the Nantes–Brest Canal, which is always a pleasant walk in fine weather.
Route de la Colonne des Trente
Set in the heart of the countryside, this route takes you along a number of easily accessible dirt tracks, small roads and a few grassy paths and sunken lanes on either side of the RN24.
The Étang au Duc tour near Ploërmel
This pond tour is not difficult: the total elevation gain is less than 25 metres. Although the start may be a little tedious with its 4.2 kilometres on a greenway, the return trip is more than pleasant along theGR®37, which runs alongside the pond and offers magnificent views in several places with a host of marsh birds.
Along the Oust, from the Château de Josselin to the Chapelle Saint-Gobrien
Dominated by the tall silhouette of the Château de Josselin, the River Oust is one of the sections of the Nantes-Brest Canal. This walk follows the shaded course of the river and leads to the charming Chapelle Saint-Gobrien.

Take a stroll to discover what makes Josselin such a historic place. As you wander through the town's narrow cobbled streets, you can admire the many half-timbered houses, the oldest dating back to 1538, the churches and the castle (entrance fee). A very pleasant walk.

From Tréhorenteuc to Trécesson via the Val sans Retour
From Tréhorenteuc to Trécesson, this route explores the southern part of the Forest of Paimpont and, first and foremost, the Val sans Retour. These are places steeped in Arthurian legend and provide a magnificent setting for a walk that is largely through forest.
Please note that during the hunting season, certain parts of the route may be closed to walkers.
Brocéliande: a legendary forest
For the potential believer, this is the forest where a magician (Merlin the Enchanter) and a fairy (Viviane the Fairy) met. For the same walker, it's also where Arthur's Knights met at the Round Table. Finally, will the walker see the fairies who took to the water? before meeting the fairy Morgane, who locks up all knights unfaithful to their oath of love in an impenetrable prison of air (the Val sans Retour). A vast program.

Heathland, ponds and megaliths in Monteneuf
Come and discover a remarkable megalithic site in the Landes de Monteneuf: a collection of standing stones, covered walkways and isolated menhirs. Although less spectacular than Carnac, it is nonetheless very interesting due to the presence of a site currently undergoing renovation, where regional archaeologists have recreated both the dwellings of the period and the methods used to raise the stones.
Monteneuf megalithic circular loop
Set off to explore the dry and wet moors, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. You will then come across several Neolithic burial monuments (La Loge Morinais, the Bordouès Covered Walkway). A little further on is the Pierres Droites megalithic site, one of the most important archaeological sites in central Brittany. It has 420 menhirs, around forty of which have been re-erected in their original location.
Lancelot's walk in Beignon
This route will allow you to discover the village of Beignon, but also to immerse yourself in the legends of Lancelot and Guinevere. During the walk, discover the Affolettes Garden and the Slippery Rock site, then enjoy nature along the Aff Valley.

Set amidst moors and woods, Rochefort-en-Terre, perched on a rocky outcrop, is one of the most beautiful villages in France. With its cobbled streets and stylish shop signs, the town is a little gem nestled in the heart of Morbihan. Starting from this village, enjoy a lovely walk along the ridges and through the old slate quarries of Pluherlin.The route is very varied, taking in moorland, woodland and ridges.Passing through the villages of Rochefort-en-Terre and Pluherlin.
Rochefort en Terre via the Grées de Pluherlin and the Étang du Moulin Neuf
Rochefort-en-Terre is built on a rocky outcrop partly surrounded by the Ruisseau de Saint-Gentien. It is hard to believe that this slender stream is the source of the gorge that opens up to the north of the town, yet it is indeed this stream that feeds the beautiful Étang du Moulin Neuf. The shores of this lake, along with the rocky ridges overlooking the Arz valley, provide a beautiful setting for this medieval gem. And strolling around, discovering the hidden corners of this famous place, offers a very different experience from that of the many visitors who are content to simply walk up and down the main street.
The Ardoisières Route between Rochefort-en-Terre and Malansac
This hike is circular, taking forest paths and roads on the return journey, via the Circuit des Ardoisières, the Circuit des Pins, and passing through the village of Malansac.
From Saint-Nolff to the Chapel of Saint-Colombier
A pleasant circular walk, featuring two unmarked forest trails. Unless you are a hiker who has already completed the route, the use of a GPS is recommended. This route should be undertaken in calm weather due to the risk of falling trees in the forest. The trail markings on the ground are clear, as the route is used by a variety of walkers. However, given the sometimes narrow width of the paths and the number of junctions encountered, it is advisable to familiarise yourself with the map to help you find your way if necessary.The route was established in 2015. Its route was slightly modified in March 2023 to avoid a dense area of fallen trees, and then in May 2026, near the Gourvineg mill, a bridge over the Condat, which had been weakened by flooding, was removed.
A walk through the moors south of Sulniac
The village of Sulniac lies hidden behind the first rolling hills that rise a few dozen kilometres inland from the Morbihan coast. These hills form the southern edge of the Landes de Lanvaux. The proposed route winds through a landscape that alternates between cool, damp valleys and dry or wooded moorland. The granite that forms its bedrock is also the source of the rich architectural heritage found here.

This hike near the town of Saint-Avé allows you to discover a landscape of moors and forests in the first part. In the second part, we follow rivers to discover the old mills. It is very varied, with lots of ups and downs.
