Baden walks

This hike allows you to discover the small village of Mériadec (with some beautiful stone houses), Pointe du Blair (with beautiful villas on a protected estate) and to walk along part of the Rivière d'Auray.

After the villages of Meriadec and Le Parun, where we will discover old houses and cottages, this walk will take us along the Auray River (Loc'h) and then the Bono River (Bono) to the small port. A very pretty walk, partly through woodland and partly along the coast.

Circular route from Baden to Larmor-Baden allowing you to discover the Toulvern Dolmen, the Pointe de Locmiquel and views of the islands of Er Runio, Grand Veïzit and Radenec.At low tide, it is possible to circumnavigate the “7 Islands”.

Start from the old bridge at Le Bono, down along the river to the bay "Baie de Kerdréan". The hike is partly along the gulf and partly in the countryside. It starts with the Tumulus de Kernourz and runs halfway along the Manoir de Kerdréan.

Beautiful hike which, in its first part, follows the Bono river then crosses countryside and undergrowth to return to the starting point. Very few roads, nice path.

Starting from Le Bono, this walk takes you along the coast of the Le Bono inlet to the chapel of Saint-Avoye. Then, crossing the countryside, you’ll follow the Auray river inlet to Saint-Goustan.There is little road and a lovely path runs alongside the two rivers (on the right-hand side of the Gulf of Morbihan).Message from the moderator: route amended on 21/06/2023 from point 5 to follow theGR®® and avoid going round the Kerplouz secondary school, which is private (fence in place).

Located 4km from the town centre, this peninsula, approximately 1km long and 200m wide, offers magnificent views of the Gulf of Morbihan along a delightful path lined with pine trees and mimosas. A superb walk between "Argoat" and "Armor" (Land and Sea). Allow 1 hour 20 minutes to complete the entire walk and take breaks to admire the scenery.

A short round-trip walk from the Moulin de Kervilio in the commune of Le Bono to the Pointe de Kerisper in the commune of Pluneret. The route follows the River Bono to its confluence with the River Auray, passing through the port and across the old suspension bridge. Suitable for all seasons, but wear good walking shoes after rain!

A beautiful walk, mainly following footpaths, waterside, forest, and past a beautiful historical chapel. Perfect for a run too!

A short hike that will allow you to discover the shores of the Gulf of Bois Bas, passing along Anse de Moustran, Toulindac Beach and Anse de Kerledan.

This mainly coastal route departs from an old tide mill and heads to Port-Blanc. On the return journey, discover the Penmern Chapel and its magnificent maritime ex-votos.

This is a comfortable walk which, from the suspension bridge, follows the Bono river and then the banks of the Sal to the Téno cove, where it makes a circular loop through a landscape of reed beds, wet meadows and mudflats, made accessible by a boardwalk covering a few hundred metres. A viewing platform allows you to observe and understand this natural habitat, which is home to many rare plant and animal species. The return trip via Sainte-Avoye offers the opportunity to visit a beautiful16th-century chapel.

A very pleasant walk from the old Pomper Mill, now converted into an antique shop, to Pointe d'Arradon. The route starts along the coast of the Gulf of Morbihan and returns through the countryside. Discover the village of Le Moustoir with its old farmhouses.

A lovely walk offering several views of the Seven Islands. A little corner of paradise, showcasing some of the finest scenery the Gulf of Morbihan has to offer. You’ll set off from the car park on Rue Gilles Rio, with a short stretch along the road at the start of the walk. Be patient – the best is yet to come. Once you’ve joined the GR®34, the magic begins. There are several vantage points overlooking some of the Gulf’s islands: Île aux Moines, Creizic, Berder, Gavrinis, Longue, Radenec, Grande and Petite Veïzit, and more. The highlight, Pointe de Locmiquel, offers an exceptional view of the Gulf, with the entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan visible in the distance.

A circular stage of the Tour du Golfe du Morbihan (TGM), covering the Sept-Îles and Pointe de Locmiquel sites in the municipality of Baden. Please check tide times and tidal ranges before attempting the crossing to the Sept-Îles peninsula. Magnificent views of the western part of the Gulf of Morbihan: numerous islands (including Grand and Petit Huernic, Er Runio, Radenec, Grand and Petit Veïzit, Île Longue and Gavrinis), Locmariaquer, Arzon, the Rivière d’Auray and Pointe du Blair, Larmor Baden and the mouth of the Gulf. Swimming is possible in the summer months, particularly at Sept-Îles Beach. In winter, there are many birds to watch.

From the village of Larmor-Baden, the route takes us to the Île des Sept Îles in the commune of Baden. Most of the route follows coastal paths (GR®34). Views of the coast, the entrance to the gulf and the islands (Île aux Moines, Île de Berder, Île de Gavrinis). Option to add a tour of Île de Berder to this route.

Wet and dry moorland, woods, embankments, river, sea, mudflats, wet meadows... the natural environments are all interwoven here. The banks of the River Sal are also home to the Sainte-Avoye chapel.

A one-way route that is quite a challenge as it is relatively long, yet very rewarding. You’ll need to contend with the wind, choppy water and currents that are sometimes against you – such as between Pointe de Locmiquel and Pointe du Blair – or in your favour, such as when sailing up the Rivière d’Auray. But these conditions naturally vary with the tides and the day’s weather. You’ll admire the scenery of the gulf, the passing sailing boats and, gradually, the coastline narrowing into the ‘Loc’h’, as it’s known.

Set in the heart of an oyster-farming area, Larmor-Baden offers a wide range of things to discover: Île Berder, accessible at low tide; the jetty for exploring the famous Gavrinis Cairn; and views of the many islets.Set back from the sea lies the Marais de Pen en Toul bird sanctuary.

A well-deserved rest on this hike, as part of the journey is by boat, comfortably seated on a bench. Setting off from Larmor-Baden, we take a boat across to the island and the Gavrinis cairn, built around 3500 BC during the Neolithic period, then return to Larmor-Baden, where we’ll explore the nearby island of Berder on foot.

A route featuring a wide variety of landscapes, forming a large circular route around Larmor-Baden from the Île Berder crossing towards the Pen En Toul marshes, the hamlet of La Saline, Locmiquel Cove and the Pointe du Berchis. It will introduce you to the little-known history of Brittany’s first aerodrome, the bird sanctuary and the former salt marsh facilities.

This is a pleasant and varied walk which, from Pont-Sal, follows the left bank of the Sal estuary, passing in front of the Pont-Sal mill via a recent footpath (created in 2017). It continues along the Bono river to the Kervilio mill. The return journey takes you past the Becquerel Chapel and the village of Plougoumelen to Pont-Sal via a series of paths typical of the Breton bocage. You'll want to come back again.

A circular loop in the Pont-Sal woods with a return trip to the Rochers du Cerf site in the commune of Plougoumelen. Forest, valley, river and countryside scenery. Includes a botanical trail. Suitable for all seasons.

The rivers of Auray (Loc'h) and Sal (Bono) enjoy a preserved environment and a varied heritage: the Sainte-Avoye chapel and its rood screen, the boat cemetery and the old Bono bridge.
