Tournefeuille walks

Nature just a stone's throw from the city. A pleasant walk for everyone, uncrowded and adaptable. A pretty little lake surrounding two small islands, which provide refuge for local wildlife.

This long walk along the Touch, between the river, lakes, woods and meadows, is very pleasant, varied, often shaded and well laid out. It can also be done by bike. And, of course, you can walk shorter sections.

Stroll along the left bank of Toulouse and discover the city's new developments on a former industrial site. Green spaces have been created to provide shade and coolness in summer. The route is safe and away from traffic. The walk continues towards the historic district and ends at Saint-Cyprien.

This walk close to the city remains mostly rural and allows you to discover the pretty Pont Saint Jean bridge and the small Bois de Monturon forest. An ideal family walk with no difficulty.

This short hike offers a burst of greenery along the banks of the Garonne and vast expanses of grain fields. You are in the countryside for most of the way, while still being on the outskirts of the Toulouse metropolitan area.

This walk, with very little tarmac, takes you from Pibrac to the Bouconne Forest via a series of small paths through the countryside. With no particular difficulties, it is suitable for walkers of all ages.

Blagnac (Blanhac in Occitan) is a French commune located in Haute-Garonne in the Occitanie region. The town is known for its airport, its aeronautical museums, its Odyssud theatre, and also for the Blagnacais, its large Ramiervc v park on the banks of the Garonne, where it is nice to meet up with friends and family for a picnic.

The opening of the Téléo cable car in May 2022 will allow you to make a beautiful circular route along the Garonne and then the Canal du Midi, while providing a view of the city of Toulouse and the Pyrenees. The entire first section, from (1) to (5), is in full sun in the morning. Metro line B, for alternative departures, leaves the landmarks (4) and (8). Please note that the use of the cable car introduces a bias in the Visorando technical data sheet: the elevation gain is very low and the hike is only about 12 km long, taking 2½ to 3 hours on foot.

This is an easy walk, accessible to all, allowing you to discover Toulouse through its main parks while enjoying beautiful views along the banks of the Garonne.

This walk allows you to discover Île du Ramier, which is currently undergoing development work, via the two new footbridges. Starting from Empalot, the walk joins the Prairie des Filtres and ends at Esquirol, a pocket of wild nature hidden in the heart of the city. The Garonne River flows through it. This walk starts at the Tisséo Canal du Midi station (line B, 15, 70) on Boulevard de la Marquette in front of the General Council, then heads towards the Sept Deniers district along the canal. The return route follows the Garonne embankment and the Canal de Brienne to reach Compans Cafarelli (line B, 45, L1, L14). Bike stations are available at the start and finish.

This very easy urban walk will take you to the 10 remains of the Roman ramparts of Toulouse fromthe 1st and 3rd centuries AD that are still visible today in public spaces. The duration of this walk will depend on how much time you spend observing the sites.

A walking route connecting Toulouse's must-see monuments, passing by the most beautiful churches, majestic mansions and lively squares, medieval alleyways and museums. This tour of the "Pink City" can be spread over one or more days, depending on the potential visits and stops made.

In a small corner near Toulouse is a lake where many birds live and where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Why not spend an afternoon discovering it?

Easy walk around the various lakes of the Bidot estate between Fonsorbes, Plaisance du Touch and Frouzins. This route starts at the park entrance and the Salle Bidot in Fonsorbes.

For jogging or hiking in northern Toulouse. A rural route partly along the edge of Lac Sesquières on the banks of the Garonne, far from traffic.

A short walk within the city walls, allowing you to see or revisit certain neighbourhoods of Toulouse following their renovation. The walk involves looking up at the tops of the buildings you pass, as well as looking at ground level, as the streets are either entirely pedestrianised or shared. Numerous monuments, buildings from past centuries, and inner courtyards are worth seeing if entry is permitted. Visits to the monuments can significantly extend the walking time.

Starting from the Léguevin skate park, this circular route takes you to the Bouconne forest via the town's green spaces.

Connecting the village of Vieille-Toulouse to that of Pechbusque via the Way of St James, this walk takes hikers through wooded, shaded areas crossed by the Bécane stream. The church of Pechbusque, a stopping place for pilgrims, will charm visitors with its stained glass windows and furnishings. Strongly discouraged in wet weather.

On the outskirts of Toulouse, this is a rural hike that is a little challenging (steep slopes) but not too difficult, with a long, very pleasant stretch through the woods in the middle, which can be very muddy when it rains. This hike follows several PR® trails marked in yellow. Ignore these markings.

Enjoy the cool shade of the Ramiers de Lacroix-Falgarde and Goyrans, with views over the Garonne and Ariège valleys.

This walk, through cultivated hillsides, leads along winding paths to the Gleysette chapel, a true testament to the existence of the Church of Notre-Dame-du-Ciel.

Walk between the terminus of line B at Borderouge and Launaguet Town Hall. This route links a recent neighbourhood of Toulouse, built from 2010 onwards, with a 19th-century château that houses the municipal services of the town of Launaguet. After crossing the Rocade Nord, the route passes along paths running alongside the Hers river and residential areas. A bridge leads into Aucamville through a landscaped natural area. The path then takes us to Launaguet, where we can visit the town hall and its park, which offers a remarkable view.

A short hike starting from Lacroix-Falgarde, which follows the right bank of the Ariège, takes a small path climbing up to the Balandra hill, and descends through the Vignasse valley to the Goyrans ramier

Set off to explore the banks of the Garonne and the Canal Latéral à la Garonne. A short, peaceful outing on dry paths that ends on discovery trails.

On the outskirts of Toulouse, climb up to admire the Pyrenees and the hillsides, then return to the cool shade of the Goyrans forest along the Ariège river.

This easy, flat route near Toulouse runs alongside the Garonne river and through the Fenouillet countryside. Perfect for family walks.

A path for jogging or walking off the beaten track and finding yourself surrounded by nature in the hills north of Toulouse, while remaining very close to the city. You can admire beautiful panoramic views, including a beautiful view of the city of Toulouse with the Pyrenees in the background, but only on very clear days. Depending on your physical condition, the route can be adapted in several ways, or divided into several circuits.
