The walk starts from the car park at the Salle des Fêtes in Fenouillet.
(S) Cross the stream and head south down Allée des Ramiers, turn left and after about 100 metres, turn left and then immediately right onto a path that runs alongside the road, heading south-east.
(1) At the intersection with Rue du 11 Novembre, turn right, then immediately left onto Allée des Ramiers, which you will find again.
You will come to a roundabout where you should turn left onto Rue de la Plage and follow it to the intersection with Rue Jean Jaurès.
(2) Turn right and a few metres further on, turn left onto Rue de Pourrenque. Follow this street, passing several other streets on the right and left, until you reach the lock of the same name on the Canal Latéral à la Garonne.
(3) Follow the canal on the left to Lac du Bocage, then turn left and head for the water sports centre.
(4) Cross the road and turn right onto the cycle path. At the roundabout, turn left and continue on the cycle path. Walk alongside the school, go around the roundabout on the right and continue on the first street on the right (Rue Piquepeyre).
(5) At the next roundabout, turn right onto Rue des Ormeaux and continue on the left-hand pavement.
The next roundabout has a small stone and brick bridge. Continue along Rue des Ormeaux, but take the pavement on the right after this roundabout.
(6) You will come to an intersection (crossroads), where you should turn right onto Rue Sibadies. Leave the village and follow this street, which becomes Chemin de Lombardil, to reach the banks of the Garonne.
(7) Turn left, passing in front of the entrance to the shooting range.
(8) Turn left again onto the Lombardil wood path, which is signposted on the vegetation. Complete the circular loop and return to the starting point.
When you leave the woods, turn left and then take the path on the right at the barrier.
(9) Turn left onto the discovery trail that follows the edge of the Maltemps stream and introduces you to the flora and fauna of the reed bed.
At the end of the trail, take the Allée des Ramiers opposite, which will take you back to the car park at the starting point (E).
