Description of the walk

Park in the Tambourettes car park in Pibrac.

(S/E) Head east from the Tambourettes district, following the
red and white markings ofthe GR®653. Pass close to the boules court, then continue along the Chemin de Sartha. Reach a crossroads of paths at a place called La Palanque.

(1) Leave theGR® and take the path opposite, heading for the Pont Saint-Jean.

(2) Just before the bridge, take the path on the left leading uphill, marked in yellow. You will reach the Borde Haute crossroads.

(3) Continue straight on along the Chemin de Griffe, still marked in yellow. Pass through Canteperdrix and Lagriffe and emerge at the junction with the D37 road.

(4) Cross the road and continue straight ahead, passing near Manaut, and carry on to the edge of the forest.

(5) Leave the yellow markings here and enter the Forêt de Bouconne straight ahead. Follow an almost straight path and, at a track, turn left, then take the4th path on the left.

I really like this walk because it takes you through the town, the fields and the forest all in one go.
