The countryside around Vieille-Toulouse

Departure from the car park at the Vieille-Toulouse town hall (31).

(S/E) Take the street below the town hall to the left and, at the end, take the path that descends steeply to the right until you reach the stream.

(1) Cross it and climb steeply up the path opposite until you reach the Route des Coteaux, D4c, at the top, and turn right.

(2) After about 200 metres, take the^first road on the left, then immediately left again onto Chemin de Rouzède, which descends to the Bonneval stream. Cross it and join the tarmac road, Chemin de Pechbusque.

(3) Cross the road and take the path opposite, which climbs up into a small wood. Follow it until you reach Chemin de Pechbusque again, then turn left.

(4) Then take the^first road on the left and immediately take the small path on the left that runs along the field, at the edge of the woods.

(5) After about 400 metres, take the path that branches off to the right, then after 200 metres, turn right again at the top of the grassy plain. Go to the end of the path, then turn left to the large ditch and continue to the right until you reach a road.

(6) Go down it to the right until you reach the junction with Avenue de Suisse, D35, then follow it to the right on the path along the edge until you reach the^first road on the right. Ignore this road and continue straight ahead on the D35 for a few metres.

(7) Turn left onto the path, which leads into the forest. Follow it for a long way, staying as close as possible to the stream, until you come out onto Chemin de Bosc Blanc.

(8) Follow it to the right. Join a tarmac road and follow it straight ahead until you reach Route des Pyrénées (D35).

(9) Turn left onto this road and, after about 150 m, turn right onto Chemin des Femmes (barrier). Join a tarmac road and continue straight ahead until you reach Chemin de Lakanal, then turn right.

(10) After about 300 metres, at the top of the hill, take the left-hand path (the right-hand path is private property) and follow it straight downhill. At the end, continue to the left. Cross the Ruisseau de Bécane stream, then climb back up to the Chemin du Forgeron road.

(11) Take this road to the right and, at the^first bend, continue straight ahead along the grassy path. Walk alongside the cemetery and join the Chemin de Monlong road to continue straight ahead to the car park of the Vieille-Toulouse town hall (S/E).
