Lésigny walks

A ride from the Parc Shopping Centre in Lesigny to Lugny Castle in Moissy-Cramayel, and the Boudha Park (Wat Thammapathip International).

The circular route passes through two Briard villages and American-style residences before reaching the Servon ponds, a great place for a picnic. The landscape is very varied, with woods, fields, an equestrian centre and a river punctuating the route.

This walk takes you around Brie via the south-west, through paths and allotments, away from the usual roads, then back to the town centre after passing an urban farm (poultry, donkey, sheep, peacocks) to enjoy the historic heritage (church, old cobbled streets, castle). The second part joins the Chemin des Roses, before returning via the ponds in Parc Mitterrand.

This hike takes you through the forests of Armainvilliers and Ferrières, where you can discover many species of trees and the Sequoia Avenue. The route then continues to the Taffarette Pond, where you can stop for a picnic in a relaxing and pleasant setting. See the old laundry room of the Château de Ferrières and its wash house, as well as the Church of Saint-Rémy. The route ends with a walk through the forest to Roissy-Brie station, following the Morbras.

A two-part hike from station to station. First, you cross the Armainvilliers National Forest, on wide paths and then on a trail that winds through the undergrowth. The rest of the route takes you through fields, through the village of Favières and finally to the heritage sites of Tournan-en-Brie.

The Grande Randonnée trail, which crosses the massif from one side to the other, offers walkers idyllic scenes, such as the surroundings of the Mare du Cormier, or bucolic moments, such as chestnut picking! Within the Ferrieres and Armainvilliers forests, the route follows sections of the GRP® and PR® trails of the Briardes Valleys and Forests.

A hike from station to station, crossing the Ferrières Regional Forest and then the Armainvilliers National Forest. Wide paths alternate with more winding trails. There are a few ponds along the way.

This long hike goes from one RER A station to another. It begins with a climb in Boissy Saint-Léger but the rest is flat. We start with a circular walk through the Gros-Bois Forest, then the main part of the walk takes us through the Notre-Dame Forest. We alternate between wide avenues and footpaths, with a wide variety of trees. The walk ends with a long, gently sloping green corridor and a walk through Morbras Park. Several alternative routes allow you to shorten the route.

The first part of this hike from station to station is mainly through forest, with a mix of wide paths and winding trails. Then you follow the course of the Yerres, playing leapfrog with the river, its branches and tributaries.

A surprisingly green walk, mostly passing through a succession of forests, numerous parks and other green corridors. It also takes you through the history of the centuries preceding our own, thanks to the architectural legacy they left behind, some of whose monuments have fortunately been well preserved, such as the Château de Sucy or the Château de Haute Maison, whilst others reveal only their outbuildings, such as the Château du Piple, or have left nothing but ruins, such as the Château du Grand Val. 

A relatively long but technically straightforward walk in a peri-urban area, taking you through the Gros Bois and Notre-Dame forests, then down the Réveillon Valley, before returning via the Camaldules and Grange forests.

A hike that is mostly in the forest and partly in urban areas. You will take well-maintained forest paths, a green corridor and the "Végétale" path built above a TGV tunnel.

A hike from station to station, half urban, notably through the paths and alleys of Sucy-en-Brie, and half forest.

The forests of Ferrières and Armainvilliers are contiguous over a very long stretch from east to west. They form the largest wooded area in eastern Paris. It is a single humid forest with very little relief, dotted with ponds. It is renowned for mushroom picking. This hike allows you to discover the tree species that make up the forest: oak (sessile and pedunculate), ash, lime, maple, cherry, service, etc.

Starting from Yerres, this circular walk takes you through the La Grange forest, passing through the centre of Limeil-Brevannes and then Valenton. The return journey is mostly along the "Végétale", a greenway that passes under the C1 cable car linking Villeneuve-Saint-Georges to Créteil.

Discover the Bois Saint-Martin. This woodland, managed by the Île-de-France region, has been open to the public since October 2021. It spans three departments: Seine-Saint-Denis (Noisy-le-Grand), Val-de-Marne (Plessis, Trévise, Villiers-sur-Marne) and Seine-et-Marne (Émerainville). You will discover areas preserved for wildlife, large oak trees and the region's ponds.

A walk along the Marsange, which takes us under and over the TGV line, as well as through a level crossing on the Trancilien line. Along the way, old agricultural tools are on display.

Short hike starting from Boussy-Saint-Antoine station (RER D), which runs along the Yerres and allows you to discover some remarkable sites around this river (Jarcy Mill, Closerie Falbala, Rochopt Mill, street art murals, etc.). With a short detour into the Sénart Forest. Motorists can park in the car park of the "Val d'Yerres" shopping centre.

A hike from station to station in a semi-urban environment, following paths through gardens and pleasant riverside trails.

A pleasant walk along two rivers, the Yerres and the Réveillon. You completely forget the nearby urban environment.

This hike mostly takes place along the Yerres, a tributary of the Seine, and also includes a section in the Forest of Senart and an urban section. There you can enjoy the charm of this river and the beautiful houses around it, admire two ancient watermills and come cross no fewer than four standing stones along the way.

A half-day hike in the Ferrières Forest, starting with the majestic Allée des Lions, passing by the Étang de Taffarette and skirting the huge grounds of the Château de Ferrières. The second part may be a little muddy.

A walk along the riverbank that follows the Réveillon upstream from its confluence with the Yerres. Alternating between woodland, urban parks, an old village and the countryside, almost the entire route offers views of the Réveillon.

From Ferrières-en-Brie to Roissy-en-Brie, via Pontcarre, in the Ferrières Regional Forest.

This is an unusual route, as the outward journey is by train from Montgeron station to Combs la Ville-Quincy-sous-Sénart station, and the return journey is on foot along a path that largely follows the banks of the Yerres.

Circular route around the former Yerres Abbey (12th century) located at the confluence of the Yerres and Réveillon rivers. The start of the route follows the course of the Yerres to the abbey, then climbs through a highly urbanised area to the former Camaldolese monastery, before descending towards the Réveillon, which you follow to the confluence. The return journey takes you through Brunoy, past the Robert Dubois-Corneau Museum, Saint-Médard Church and finally the Perronet Bridge.

Circular route around Évry-Grégy-sur-Yerres, allowing you to discover different ways of crossing the river: bridges, fords, footbridges. Two of these bridges date from the 17th and 18th centuries and are listed in the inventory of historic monuments. This route takes you past the Priory of Vernelle (private), which is a beautiful spot.

An urban route that first passes through a residential area and then runs alongside a commercial area. Crossing the Parc du Plateau, in several sections, allows you to enjoy some greenery and provides an opportunity to visit a few memorial sites. The walk ends with a pleasant stroll along the Marne and its islands.

This walk crosses the Yerres and offers views of numerous horses.

After walking along the Marne from Champigny station, we stroll through Old Saint-Maur and visit the remains of the former abbey that gave the town its name. The walk ends at the water's edge, along the Saint-Maur Canal and then, once again, the Marne.

This is mainly an urban route that starts on the banks of the Marne. It then climbs up to take paths between gardens and enjoy extensive views of the eastern suburbs of Paris. After the Church of Saint-Pierre and the Château d'Ormesson, it crosses the green Morbras Park.

A walk where you can see horses and cross the Yerres eight times.

An easily accessible hike via the RER A, almost entirely on footpaths, trails or pedestrian routes. A highly flexible route: a circular 19 km loop, which can be shortened to 14 km or less thanks to several shortcut options, or extended to almost 30 km if you take all the suggested options. Beautiful waterside scenery, with numerous birds, some remarkable trees and the listed architectural sites of the former Menier chocolate factory and the Ferme du Buisson.

This hike takes you through the various parks and gardens, woods and ponds of Val Maubuée (Lognes, Torcy, Noisiel and Champs s/Marne), from station to station between Lognes and Noisiel.There are some beautiful views along the way, including ponds, the Menier chocolate factory and Noisiel Park. Please note: check the opening times of Noisiel Park (see "Practical Information" below).Picnics are permitted in the park.

A beautiful forest walk, easily accessible from an RER station. Two beautiful ponds, a few pools, the impressive Allée des Séquoias and the Totems de Taffarette are among the points of interest along the route, not to mention the superb oak trees that inhabit many sections of this forest.

A hike in three very different parts. From Noisiel station to Yvris station, the route is mainly wooded and damp in places. Then you cross Le Plessis-Trévise, avoiding the main roads but remaining in a very urbanised area. Finally, you follow the paths and lanes of Champigny before walking along the Marne.

A beautiful walk from station to station (RER line A) along the landscaped banks of the Marne. This walk can be done in either direction.

An easy walk along very good paths or trails, with no significant elevation gain. The main attraction lies in passing through several beautiful, varied deciduous forests, whose most remarkable inhabitants are majestic oak trees. The oldest is at point (8). There are also a few castles along the route, and the church at Sucy, which is usually open and well worth a visit.The map shows several urban areas, but for much of these urban sections, the walk takes place along tree-lined avenues or through green corridors, making it easy to forget that you are ‘in town’.

A short urban walk taking us from Seine-Saint-Denis to Val-de-Marne. Along the way, the Arènes de Picasso with two buildings featuring cylindrical façades, residential areas and two public gardens.

A surprising walk which, on the map, looks very urban, but which, with very few exceptions, avoids tarmac roads. You’ll come across many remarkable buildings, passing from one green space to another – some landscaped (the Croissant Vert) and others wild (the Haute-Île) – and finish with a circular route along well-marked trails through the former gypsum quarries of Mont Guichet, which have been abandoned for decades.

This is a circular route starting from the Bussy-Saint-Georges RER station. The landscape is varied, combining forests, fields, ponds, rivers and a few urban areas, not to mention the large Rentilly Park with its château, which hosts exhibitions, concerts and all kinds of cultural events.

The spread of Columbanian rule led to the establishment of more than forty monasteries in Western Europe. Queen Bathilde founded one of the most important women's abbeys in France in Chelles. This second journey, or path of exile, was travelled by Columbanus and his compatriots between 610 and 613, from Paris to Rebais. It marked the beginning of a new journey eastwards to Bregenz on Lake Constance and then Bobbio.
