Description of the walk

Starting point and access: Roissy-en-Brie station.
- RER - Line E, on the section between Paris and Tournan.
Take exit 2 Roissy-Nord (take the underground passage regardless of the direction of arrival).

Red and yellow markings

(S) When you leave the station, turn right and climb a small staircase. Follow a paved path and walk along the railway line on your right.

Red and yellow markings + yellow

(1) At the railway bridge (on the right), take the second paved path on the left (shared by pedestrians and cyclists). Cross the road at the traffic lights and take the path opposite, slightly to the right, between a stream on the left and garden fences on the right.

(2) Ignore a bridge on the left, cross a paved road and continue straight ahead on the grassy path. Further on, rejoin the paved road and continue into Square Édouard Manet. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead; the paved road soon gives way to a path. Ignore a footbridge on the left and continue along the stream. Just after a small car park on the right, you will reach an intersection.

Red and yellow markings

(3) Then turn left and take the bridge over the stream. On the other side, there are two paths: take the one on the left. You will soon reach a path and follow it to the left. Immediately ignore a path on the left (not shown on the map) and leave a tree with four trunks on your left. Ignore a path on the left (elevation 111) and continue straight ahead.

(4) At the next crossroads (plot no. 268), continue straight ahead. Follow a winding path through the undergrowth, alternating with a few short boardwalks (wet in winter).

(5) At the T-junction, turn left. Immediately ignore a path on the right and leave the Mare du Cormier on your right. Cross a stabilised path and continue straight ahead. Further on, at the boundary between plots no. 218 and no. 219, cross a vague path and continue straight ahead (the purple line supposed to indicate the GRP® is not updated here). Follow a wide path bordered by a ditch on the left. At the next intersection, continue straight ahead until you reach a crossroads (signpost).

Red and yellow + yellow markings

(6) Then follow a paved path to the right. Continue straight ahead until you reach the next crossroads (signpost).

Red and yellow + green and white + yellow markings

(7) Then turn left at an acute angle into Allée de la Ferrandière, lined with plane trees. Ignore a path on the left and immediately reach a fork.

(8) Then turn right onto a stabilised path. At the next crossroads, go straight ahead and take a footbridge over a stream. On the other side, turn left and follow the walls and garden fences on your right. Go through a forest gate and continue along Rue de la Bretêche.

(9) At the stop sign, turn right and then left onto Rue de l'Église. Follow the church on your right, then the cemetery. Continue along a grassy path and ignore a footbridge on your right. Go through a tunnel under the D471 and continue along a path lined with dense vegetation.

(10) At the corner of plot no. 138, turn left. Follow the wall of a property on your left until you reach a crossroads (signpost).

Green and white markings

(11) Take the second right, Route de la Planchette, a wide, paved road. Cross the D21 carefully and continue straight ahead on a gravel path. At the next crossroads (isolated house on the left), continue straight ahead on a paved road.

(12) At the crossroads (signpost), turn right onto a grassy path. At the next crossroads, go straight ahead until the next crossroads (signpost).

(13) Then take the third path on the left, which starts between plots no. 3 and no. 134.

Green and white + red and yellow markings

At the first intersection, go straight ahead.

(14) At the next junction, turn right onto a grassy path. Ignore a vague start on the right and go straight ahead to a tarmac crossroads (isolated house on the right).

(15) Follow a paved path roughly opposite. Pass a first pond on the left, then a second on the right.

(16) When you reach a third pond, turn left onto a path (be careful to spot this turn). Wind your way through the undergrowth, further than the map suggests, keeping a small ditch on your left.

(17) At the end, turn right and then left to continue on a path lined with dense vegetation. You will come out onto a wide, stable path. Follow it to the right.

No signposts

(18) At the first crossroads, go straight ahead (ignore the signpost on the left). Cross the D471 (very busy road) with great care and continue opposite.

Red and yellow markings (rare)

(19) At the next junction, continue straight ahead on a wide, unshaded track. At the end, turn right and follow the railway line on your left.

(20) At the junction (footbridge opposite on the right), turn left and go through a small tunnel under the railway line. On the other side, cross a car park on the left towards a pharmacy. Leave the pharmacy on your left and you will immediately see Ozoir-la-Ferrière station on your left (E).

To return home:
- RER - Line E, towards Paris or Tournan.

Hello,
A very pleasant hike, with mixed weather but no rain.
We avoided points 10 to 13 because the Guillaumetterie road was impassable: too muddy (on the advice of a hiker from Pontcarré). We walked along the cemetery and the Mare aux Sangsues to the PR (Carrefour de la Parenterie) and reached point 13 at the Carrefour du Chenot. The difference between the two routes is less than 1 km.
Thank you for this route, which must be really pleasant in fine weather. We'll be back.

This walk is not recommended in winter, as many sections are potentially very muddy or even impassable (between 9 and 10 after the underpass, the path is rutted, ploughed and already very sticky)
A few long, somewhat monotonous straights between 11 and 14 and between 18 and Ozoir station
Still enjoyable overall
