(S) Leave Ozoir-la-Ferrière station via the station square (only one exit) and take the underground passage (if coming from Paris). Head for the car park on the right after the pharmacy and cross it. At the end, take the path on the right that goes under the railway tracks. At the end of the tunnel, turn right onto the path that follows the railway tracks (marked in white and red).
(1) After a little over 300 metres, turn left into the lane (Route des Etangs). Pass the first path on the left (elevation 111 metres). At the next crossroads, turn left (white and red markings) onto the large lane heading north (Route des Charbonniers). Follow this lane to Carrefour du Sanglier. Continue straight ahead on this lane to Carrefour des Plants, passing Carrefour des Usuelles (elevation 113 m).
(2) At Carrefour des Plants, continue along the large lane that branches off slightly to the left, leaving theGR® on your right and left. Cross the D21 (take care) and continue along the lane opposite until you reach Carrefour de la Ferrandière (elevation 113 m). Continue straight ahead (Allée du Tour du Parc) until you reach Carrefour du Pas du Cheval.
(3) Continue straight ahead on the same lane, cross Carrefour Saint-Charles (elevation 114 m), then Carrefour Saint-Pierre (elevation 115 m).
(4) At the next crossroads (Carrefour de Lamirault), turn right onto Allée de Piscop. Follow this lane to the D471 roundabout.
Cross the roundabout and the road. Caution: dangerous crossing.
(5) Take Allée des Séquoias (called Allée des Lions on some maps), which is lined on both sides with magnificent sequoia trees.
(6) After about 150 metres, take Allée des Tarfarettes, which branches off to the left. Follow it to the old laundry room.
(7) Pass in front of a group of industrial buildings, including the old laundry room of the Château de Ferrières.
(8) Immediately afterwards, cross to the right across a parking area to reach the path that leads to the back. From the back of the car park, if you turn around, you can clearly see the old laundry building with its distinctive façade.
Follow this path along the Étang de la Taffarette, where you will find tables, benches for picnics and toilets. On the left, just after the school, take a look at the Church of Saint-Rémy and its bell tower with two bells.
(9) Return to the path that runs alongside the pond and follow it to the left. At a fork, take the left-hand path until you reach a road (D35). On the left is the old wash house of the Château de Ferrières-en-Brie.
(10) From the wash house, follow the D35 in the opposite direction to the wash house, south-west, then walk along the right-hand side of the pond. A little further on (about 300m), take the path on the right to the edge of the forest (path decorated with several sculptures of faces carved into tree trunks). Continue along this path at the edge of the forest until you reach the Allée des Séquoias.
(11) Cross the avenue and continue straight ahead until you reach a T-junction. At this junction, follow the path that branches off to the left and join the D471. Cross the departmental road.
(12) Turn right onto the small road parallel to the D471 (sign saying "Bienvenue à Pontcarré village forestier" on the right-hand side). Pass the grassy lane that branches off to the right of the road and, immediately after, turn right onto the dirt track closed to traffic by a metal barrier. Follow this track to the Carrefour du Pas du Cheval.
(3) Cross the Carrefour du Pas du Cheval crossroads. Take the grassy path opposite that leads into the undergrowth, parallel to the Allée du Tour du Parc (a wider, stony path). Continue straight ahead and join the markedGR®14path coming from the left.
(13) Continue straight ahead on theGR® until you reach the junction with the gravel path to Château de Croissy.
Turn left onto this path, leaving theGR® straight ahead. At the junction with the Route de Roissy (plot 243, elevation 112m), continue straight ahead for about 300m.
(14) Between plots 245 and 246, turn right onto the path that follows the Morbras stream to a secondary school. Pass a wooden bridge on your left. After passing the first houses and the secondary school on your left, cross the stone bridge and immediately turn right.
(15) Join theGR®14coming from the right and follow it, veering left (white and red markings). Walk along the river to Avenue Paul Cezanne (traffic lights).
(16) Cross the avenue and continue straight ahead, following the stream. At the end, before the tunnel that passes under the railway tracks, turn right onto the path that runs alongside the railway line to Roissy-en-Brie station (E).
