Description of the route

Access by car to the car park at the small Parc Shopping Area in Lesigny, Rue d’Artois. Shaded spaces and plenty of room to unload your bikes.

(S/E) Join the cycle path that runs alongside the road and turn right. Leave the town and continue until you reach a three-way junction, situated beneath a high-voltage power line.

(1) Turn left, enter Servon and carry on straight ahead until you reach the second roundabout. Turn right onto Rue de la Poste, then, at the Municipal Police station, turn left (Rue de la République). Continue along Avenue Pierre Ghérin and carry on to No. 13. Turn right onto the cycle path that runs alongside Rue de la Paix and you’ll reach a roundabout.

(2) Go round it on the left and carry on along the white path which, further on, runs alongside the railway line and joins a road.

(3) Cross it and turn left to cross the bridge over the railway line. Carry on to the next junction of cycle paths.

(4) Turn right for a short detour along a tree-lined path. At the next junction, turn left, continue along the tarmac road and reach the second street on the left, situated a few metres past No. 5. Take this street and head towards the corner of the cemetery.

(5) Turn slightly right and, at the junction by the secondary school, turn left to reach a four-way junction.

(6) Carry on to the right onto theD252A, towards Brunoy. Continue along the D272, still heading towards Brunoy, then turn left straight away onto Rue du Rochopt and follow it down a steep slope to the Canal de l’Yerres. You can stop for a break here.

(7) Follow the canal, carry on straight ahead and reach the end of Rue du Rochopt.

(8) Turn right at the roundabout and carry on to the next one. Go straight through it and take the cycle path on the left which runs alongside the street. Cross the bridge over the Yerres; at the roundabout, keep right and continue to the next one.

(9) Turn left, enter Quincy-sous-Sénart and, at the next multi-way junction, turn right onto Avenue d’Épinay-sous-Sénart. Carry straight on through the residential areas and, at the roundabout, carry straight on onto Rue d’Épinay. At the next roundabout, take the third exit onto Rue Franklin Roosevelt, then turn right onto Rue du Général Leclerc. Continue along Avenue Corneille until you reach a side street.

(10) Turn right onto Avenue Victor Hugo, continue along Avenue Anathole France and, at the end, turn right onto Avenue de la Forêt and follow it to the end.

(11) Continue along the cycle path that runs alongside the woods on your right until you reach a junction with a road bridge on your left.

(12) Turn left, go under the road bridge, enter Lieusaint and reach the first path on the left which leads into the Ru des Hauldres Nature Reserve.

(13) Take this path and head into the woodland. Follow it straight on, cross two roads, go under the railway bridge and, at the other end, you’ll come to a multi-way junction.

(14) Take the second path on the right, then cross the road at the pedestrian crossing. Continue along the cycle path on the left and carry on straight ahead until you reach the third roundabout.

(15) Carry on to the right along Avenue de Rosenfeld, continue along Rue des Marronniers, then turn left onto Rue de Lherminot and you’ll soon reach the château and its grounds.

(16) After enjoying the surroundings, return to the Zone Commerciale du Parc in Lesigny by following the same route back as on the way there (S/E).
