Paths and town around Brie-Comte-Robert

Park in the free public car park in front of Lycée Blaise Pascal, Allée du Commandant Guesnet.

(S/E) Walk round the school and join Chemin d’Yverny. After a short flight of steps, you’ll arrive beneath an avenue of cherry trees in bloom during the warmer months; enter Mitterrand Park and follow the path under the trees until you reach a gate on the right leading onto Rue du Moulin à Vent.

(1) Walk down the street, then turn right at the end of the cul-de-sac and enter the small wood.

(2) After a few metres, turn onto the path on the left, then after about 200 m, climb the earthen steps at the corner opposite you. Take the path on the left, then continue straight on until you reach Route de Mandres, which you cross.

(3) Turn left onto the path running alongside the houses, cross the road and continue along the narrow path between the houses until you reach the next street.

(4) Turn right, then left onto the footpath that winds its way between the houses and allotments. At the end, cross the lawn to take the narrow path behind the houses, running alongside Route de Villemeneux.

(5) Cross at the junction using the pedestrian crossings and turn right to rejoin the path that continues behind the houses. Keep going straight on until you reach Le Safran (village hall, a building with gold-coloured cladding).

(6) Turn left towards the first set of traffic lights, cross the road and take Allée Lamartine opposite. At the end of the street, a small passage between the houses leads to Chemin de Grégy.
Turn left, then go straight on, following the wall of Parc des Bienfaites until you reach Avenue Victor Hugo.

(7) Stay on the pavement and turn right onto Avenue des Bienfaites at the next traffic lights.
Walk to the park and go in to see the urban farm on your right.

(8) Leave the park via the same entrance and continue straight on towards the church. Walk down the short Rue de l’Église and head towards the Place du Marché.

(9) At the bottom of the square, turn left and head towards the castle, which you can either walk through (not worth seeing) or go round. Walk up the other side of the castle and carefully cross Rue du Général Leclerc (N19). Enter Rue de la Bergerie and turn right, then immediately left onto Rue de Cossigny. Continue straight along this street until you reach Chemin des Roses

(10) Turn left, continue straight on, cross Rue de Verdun and continue along Chemin des Roses, which runs behind the old station, until you reach a road in the industrial estate.

(11) Stay on the pavement on the left, go past the first roundabout and cross at the pedestrian crossing just before the second roundabout, then take the path opposite under the tree-lined avenue. Continue straight ahead, then turn left onto Chemin des Justices and you will reach Rue du Général Leclerc (N19), which you cross at the pedestrian crossing. Turn right as you head up towards the roundabout at the business park.

(12) Just after Eurogaz, turn into the small lane leading down to the left beneath the building constructed between Eurogaz and Point S. Continue straight ahead, enter Parc Mitterand and go round the ponds on the left.

(13) Then join the tree-lined path slightly higher up in front of you and head back to the right to the car park (S/E).
