La Queue-en-Brie walks

Discover the Bois Saint-Martin. This woodland, managed by the Île-de-France region, has been open to the public since October 2021. It spans three departments: Seine-Saint-Denis (Noisy-le-Grand), Val-de-Marne (Plessis, Trévise, Villiers-sur-Marne) and Seine-et-Marne (Émerainville). You will discover areas preserved for wildlife, large oak trees and the region's ponds.

An urban route that first passes through a residential area and then runs alongside a commercial area. Crossing the Parc du Plateau, in several sections, allows you to enjoy some greenery and provides an opportunity to visit a few memorial sites. The walk ends with a pleasant stroll along the Marne and its islands.

A hike from station to station, crossing the Ferrières Regional Forest and then the Armainvilliers National Forest. Wide paths alternate with more winding trails. There are a few ponds along the way.

A hike from station to station, half urban, notably through the paths and alleys of Sucy-en-Brie, and half forest.

After walking along the Marne from Champigny station, we stroll through Old Saint-Maur and visit the remains of the former abbey that gave the town its name. The walk ends at the water's edge, along the Saint-Maur Canal and then, once again, the Marne.

This is mainly an urban route that starts on the banks of the Marne. It then climbs up to take paths between gardens and enjoy extensive views of the eastern suburbs of Paris. After the Church of Saint-Pierre and the Château d'Ormesson, it crosses the green Morbras Park.

The first part of this hike from station to station is mainly through forest, with a mix of wide paths and winding trails. Then you follow the course of the Yerres, playing leapfrog with the river, its branches and tributaries.

This long hike goes from one RER A station to another. It begins with a climb in Boissy Saint-Léger but the rest is flat. We start with a circular walk through the Gros-Bois Forest, then the main part of the walk takes us through the Notre-Dame Forest. We alternate between wide avenues and footpaths, with a wide variety of trees. The walk ends with a long, gently sloping green corridor and a walk through Morbras Park. Several alternative routes allow you to shorten the route.

A hike that is mostly in the forest and partly in urban areas. You will take well-maintained forest paths, a green corridor and the "Végétale" path built above a TGV tunnel.

Hike from Marolles-en-Brie, taking the old Chemin des Roses (former railway line to Paris Bastille, which carried passengers and roses to Les Halles). Discover Servon, its church and its château (Anne Boleyn is said to have lived here with her aunt in the 16th century).

A hike in three very different parts. From Noisiel station to Yvris station, the route is mainly wooded and damp in places. Then you cross Le Plessis-Trévise, avoiding the main roads but remaining in a very urbanised area. Finally, you follow the paths and lanes of Champigny before walking along the Marne.

The circular route passes through two Briard villages and American-style residences before reaching the Servon ponds, a great place for a picnic. The landscape is very varied, with woods, fields, an equestrian centre and a river punctuating the route.

A beautiful walk from station to station (RER line A) along the landscaped banks of the Marne. This walk can be done in either direction.

The spread of Columbanian rule led to the establishment of more than forty monasteries in Western Europe. Queen Bathilde founded one of the most important women's abbeys in France in Chelles. This second journey, or path of exile, was travelled by Columbanus and his compatriots between 610 and 613, from Paris to Rebais. It marked the beginning of a new journey eastwards to Bregenz on Lake Constance and then Bobbio.

This hike takes you through the various parks and gardens, woods and ponds of Val Maubuée (Lognes, Torcy, Noisiel and Champs s/Marne), from station to station between Lognes and Noisiel.There are some beautiful views along the way, including ponds, the Menier chocolate factory and Noisiel Park. Please note: check the opening times of Noisiel Park (see "Practical Information" below).Picnics are permitted in the park.

A beautiful forest walk, easily accessible from an RER station. Two beautiful ponds, a few pools, the impressive Allée des Séquoias and the Totems de Taffarette are among the points of interest along the route, not to mention the superb oak trees that inhabit many sections of this forest.

After a few passages and alleys in Saint-Maur, the lock and the Créteil bridge, you walk along a small branch of the Marne and stroll through the residential Ile Brise Pain. After crossing the Mont-Mesly district of Créteil, with its large, airy housing estates, you arrive at the tip of the lake, which is decorated with several water jets.

The commune of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés lies entirely within a bend in the Marne. This walk, from station to station, follows almost the entire length of this bend. It can be enjoyed in all seasons and showcases the river and its islands, the residential neighbourhoods along its banks and Charles Trénet, who lived here for part of his life.

The Grande Randonnée trail, which crosses the massif from one side to the other, offers walkers idyllic scenes, such as the surroundings of the Mare du Cormier, or bucolic moments, such as chestnut picking! Within the Ferrieres and Armainvilliers forests, the route follows sections of the GRP® and PR® trails of the Briardes Valleys and Forests.

This hike takes you through the forests of Armainvilliers and Ferrières, where you can discover many species of trees and the Sequoia Avenue. The route then continues to the Taffarette Pond, where you can stop for a picnic in a relaxing and pleasant setting. See the old laundry room of the Château de Ferrières and its wash house, as well as the Church of Saint-Rémy. The route ends with a walk through the forest to Roissy-Brie station, following the Morbras.

A two-part hike from station to station. First, you cross the Armainvilliers National Forest, on wide paths and then on a trail that winds through the undergrowth. The rest of the route takes you through fields, through the village of Favières and finally to the heritage sites of Tournan-en-Brie.

Val Maubuée is one of the areas of the new town of Marne-la-Vallée. This walk takes you through the different areas that make up the town: apartment blocks, housing estates, parks and gardens, woods and forests, wetlands and ponds. There are beautiful views to enjoy along the way.

This route makes us forget that we are in one of the most densely populated and urban departments in France! Most of the route is on footpaths, shared in places with cyclists, along the Marne and in the Parc de la Haute-Ile, which promotes the preservation of biodiversity.

A half-day hike in the Ferrières Forest, starting with the majestic Allée des Lions, passing by the Étang de Taffarette and skirting the huge grounds of the Château de Ferrières. The second part may be a little muddy.

From Ferrières-en-Brie to Roissy-en-Brie, via Pontcarre, in the Ferrières Regional Forest.

A three-hour circular in the commune of Neuilly-Plaisance, starting from the RER station and ending at the Plateau d'Avron and its park, via the green corridor. The return journey is more urban, through quiet streets, with a detour along the banks of the Marne.

This part of the Marne Valley is home to the Vaires-sur-Marne Regional Leisure Centre and the Parc de la Haute-Ile in Neuilly-sur-Marne. Its appeal lies in the variety of landscapes dominated by the presence of water. The proposed route can be broken down into three hikes of different lengths (8km, 13km or 22km) depending on the time you have available. Even the shortest hike allows you to discover interesting sites.

A varied walk from market gardeners to early 20th-century holiday homes.

A short hike in an urban setting, from station to station, along the Marne and on one of its islands. A walk punctuated by bridges and the many rowing clubs located on the banks.

Starting from Yerres, this circular walk takes you through the La Grange forest, passing through the centre of Limeil-Brevannes and then Valenton. The return journey is mostly along the "Végétale", a greenway that passes under the C1 cable car linking Villeneuve-Saint-Georges to Créteil.

Discover a green oasis on the edge of Paris's 12th arrondissement and evidence of the French colonial vision that prevailed at the beginning of the 20th century, which we now view very differently. After visiting the garden, the hike offers a circular route in the Bois de Vincennes, around Lac des Minimes.

Discover the Domaine de Rentilly with its three distinct landscaped areas: the English-style park, the French-style perspective and the forest, then continue your hike through the agricultural lands of the Vallon de Bussy-Saint-Martin, passing by the Broce and Loy ponds.

Discover some of the towns in the Val de Bussy (Ville Nouvelle de Marne-la-Vallée): Bussy-Saint-Martin with the Rentilly Cultural Park, Bussy-Saint-Georges with its footpaths and alleys reserved for pedestrians, Guermantes and its castle, Conches-sur-Gondoire and Gouvernes. The varied route alternates between countryside and urban areas where pedestrians have plenty of space.

This walk starts in Crosne, goes through the Grange Forest and then through the town of Yerres before reaching Park Caillebotte where the painter lived. The walk goes along the Yerres River and finishes by going alongside the communal gardens in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges.

A short walk through the streets, alleys and paths of Fontenay-sous-Bois. Located on the site of former gypsum quarries, the Ecoparc offers a calm and exotic atmosphere as well as a beautiful panorama. The Parc de l'Hôtel de Ville, with its water features and a few paths lined with beautiful pavilions, completes the picture.

A hike from station to station in a semi-urban environment, following paths through gardens and pleasant riverside trails.

A pleasant walk along two rivers, the Yerres and the Réveillon. You completely forget the nearby urban environment.

This hike mostly takes place along the Yerres, a tributary of the Seine, and also includes a section in the Forest of Senart and an urban section. There you can enjoy the charm of this river and the beautiful houses around it, admire two ancient watermills and come cross no fewer than four standing stones along the way.

A city route that takes you through several neighbourhoods of Gagny. Gustave Courbet Park, the Saint-Fiacre Aqueduct embankment and the Bois de l'Étoile Arboretum add touches of greenery and a few viewpoints.

Circular route around the former Yerres Abbey (12th century) located at the confluence of the Yerres and Réveillon rivers. The start of the route follows the course of the Yerres to the abbey, then climbs through a highly urbanised area to the former Camaldolese monastery, before descending towards the Réveillon, which you follow to the confluence. The return journey takes you through Brunoy, past the Robert Dubois-Corneau Museum, Saint-Médard Church and finally the Perronet Bridge.

This hike takes you through the rural valley of Ru de Bouillon (in the commune of Pomponne). It continues on the heights of Thorigny-sur-Marne, notably along the Promenade de la Dhuis, and ends with a long stretch on the right bank of the Marne opposite Lagny-sur-Marne.
