Goupillières (Seine-Maritime) walks

A pleasant route with gentle gradients through the Cauchois countryside, alternating between woods, fields and small roads.

This walk will allow you to discover the Pavilly and Barentin valley.

This circular route starts in Barentin and takes us to the charming hamlet of Le Paulu, nestled in the heart of the green countryside. With its sunken paths, meadows, wooded edges and panoramic views of the valley, the route offers a beautiful interlude of calm and authenticity. Easily accessible, this hike is ideal for enjoying a moment of relaxation, observing nature and appreciating the rural heritage of the Pays de Caux over a few kilometres.

This route starts in Montville, passes through Anceaumeville and takes us to Mont-Cauvaire through the woods and the Clérette valley. As you pass through the Raimbourg Farm, owned by the municipality of Mont-Cauvaire, you can see its famous double bread oven, which dates from the early 19th century and can be used to bake bread on one side and pastries on the other.

After leaving the centre of a pleasant little village, cross a wood and a plain, passing through two hamlets. Alternate between small roads, pedestrian side streets, paths and trails.

This is a pleasant walk with only one steep section. It mainly follows tarmac roads, so it is passable in rainy weather. It can be done by mountain bike.

This circular walk starting from Clères takes us on a journey of discovery through the Normandy countryside, passing through the villages of Bocasse and Grugny. Between sunken lanes, open fields and pretty views, the route alternates between nature and local heritage. A pleasant and accessible walk, ideal for enjoying the rural tranquillity and getting a breath of fresh air in Seine-Maritime.

Hike on either side of the Château de Saint-Pierre-de-Varengeville. On one side, wooded paths lead to the old Sainte-Anne chapel near La Seine and on the other, the plains lead to the Austreberthe valley. Along the way, the valley at the exit of the hamlet of Candos offers some very pretty views.

Walk starting from the church in Bosc-Guérard-Saint-Adrien with varied landscapes, forest, green valley, the village of Montville and its leisure centre, largely following theGR®25,GR®25dandGR®210trails. Along the route, you will see some beautiful buildings typical of the region, and the remarkable church of Montville with its Republican pediment.

A route for children, on country roads and through fields. I did this route with my three grandchildren, aged 3 and 8, for fun and to help them learn how to use a map.

The start of the walk allows you to discover the town hall of Mont-de-l'If, which was built from an old carousel from a neighbouring farm, and the church.

Discover Montigny, its village, rural and forest heritage, as you wander through the streets and marked forest paths of the Roumare National Forest. During your walk, you will have the opportunity to admire an 18th-century castle and a traditional farmhouse called the "Maison Rouge". A few steps further on, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the Sangliers pond. Then, on the Allée Verte, discover one of the curiosities of this trail: a megalithic stone believed to have been used for druidic rituals.

The route runs alongside the Seine twice, overlooks it at another point, crosses the village and loops back through the forest. All types of terrain: 2.5 km of quiet asphalt road in three sections, forest tracks and small paths.

Walk from the Abbey of Saint-Martin-de-Boscherville then a short walk in the forest. The route then passes three equestrian clubs and several beautiful properties, with two-thirds of the route on small roads and the rest on tracks or forest paths.

This is an easy stroll that allows you to discover some of the footpaths that characterise Bois-Guillaume and the Forêt Domaniale Verte, which is magnificent, especially in autumn. This route can also be done by bicycle.

This introductory loop hike takes in the western slopes of Rouen (Fond du Val - Le Cotillet) as far as the Portes de la Forêt Verte small park. The route is largely an out-and-back, so you can shorten the walk if you need to, depending on your physical abilities.

An easy hike that leads from the town hall of Bois Guillaume to the church of Isneauville via the paths of Bois Guillaume and the footpaths of the new district of Isneauville, returning via the Forêt Domaniale Verte.

With a nod to Victor Hugo, who referred to the city as the city of a hundred bell towers, the theme of this urban walk is churches and chapels without bell towers. These are the remains of churches that have suffered the ravages of history and urbanisation, as well as churches and chapels that have been deconsecrated and converted to other uses or are awaiting decisions on their fate. A few buildings still used for worship are exceptions, but they are well worth a visit. An opportunity to (re)discover this beautiful city .

Hike in the Jumièges region, known for its many fruit tree plantations. In spring, these blossoming trees line the route, which also veers into the forest to visit a tiny chapel nestled among the trees. The route continues through the countryside, past thatched cottages and local stone houses, passing Jumièges Abbey and a tithe barn. You can see the Seine from both banks, but also when crossing it by ferry.

This short walk will allow you to discover the banks of the Robec and then the murals painted on the walls of the Sapins buildings.
