This 2nd walk on the 8-walk Route des Grands Crus (RDGC) starts in the centre of the famous wine village of Meursault and joins the RDGC proper on the west edge of the village or a fraction further on near Auxey-Duresses. It continues through the charming village of Auxey-Duresses itself and runs through wonderful countryside and vineyards and although there is one steep climb, this provides great views of the valley villages below, before eventually reaching the wine village of Pommard. The walk is dog friendly. This is stage 2 of the Route des Grands Crus.

Ups and downs in the heart of the Montagne d'Auxey and its stony paths that take us from one side of the Ruisseau des Cloux to the other, to the edge of the Saint-Romain cliffs. A variety of landscapes to discover at your leisure through stubble fields, woods and vineyards at your own pace for a full or half day.

A beautiful hike through villages and their prestigious vineyards, pleasant paths through the woods, over stubble fields and along balconies. Ideally to be done at the very beginning of autumn to enjoy the colours of the vineyards.

At first glance, this is a peaceful hike through the vineyards, but it gains altitude with the charming, stony paths of the Montagne d'Auxey.

This stage 3 in the overall Route des Grands Crus Burgundy series. This dog friendly walk runs from Pommard centre up into the hills through vineyards and woods and then finishes down in the outskirts of Beaune in the delightful Park de la Bouzaise. There is an option for an easy circular return if needed.

A walk to discover the cliffs of St Romain and Orches. Beautiful panoramic view and, with a bit of luck, you'll spot peregrine falcons nesting on the cliffs.

For locals, "La Montagne de Beaune" is like a little paradise just a stone's throw from the big city. This well-known site can still surprise walkers with its scenery and its many perfectly maintained paths.

This is stage 4 of the Route des Grands Crus series (RDGC). It covers the path from Beaune outskirts at Bouzaise Park through to Savigny-lès-Beaune and then Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton. It is dog-friendly and runs through charming villages, famous vineyards and wonderful countryside with great views. You will walk in both open country and the woods using good tracks or very quiet roads. There is some climbing but in general the walk is reasonably flat. Directions are well signposted. Although Aloxe-Corton is slightly off the official RDGC we finish there for a number of reasons outlined below including return route options

The Calvary and Service Tree Trail starts at the church square in Mavilly. Its highlight: discovering the largest service tree in France, which has a circumference of 4.50 m.

This is a whole end-to-end 8-day dog-friendly 80 Km trip along the Route des Grands Crus (RDGC) from Santenay up to the edge of Dijon. On the way, you walk through great countryside, vineyards, and villages, covering the whole of the Côte d’Or which consists of two halves, the Côte de Beaune in the South end and the Côte de Nuits at the north end. We've divided the route into eight comfortable walks designed to provide a linear end-to-end route, each starting and finishing in accessible towns or villages. The wines and associated villages and vineyards are some of the most famous in the world with an unprecedented number of Grand Cru and Premier Cru marques, such as Chassagne-Montrachet in the south and Gevrey-Chambertin in the North (even the names of the villages sound enticing!). You will see that some of the vineyards are tiny - hence the exclusivity! - and indeed often divided up historically between many owners.

This is stage 1 Santenay to Meursault of the Route des Grands Crus. This walk runs from Santenay through villages of Chassagne Montrachet and St Aubin to the charming small town of Meursault; moderate difficulty with a bit of climbing, dog friendly via countryside and vineyards. End to end, a train service enables return to start.

Discover some of the famous vineyards between Santenay, La Rochepot, Saint Aubin and Chassagne Montrachet, then return to Santenay. Magnificent views over the various valleys you cross and the vineyards, which are very much in evidence.

Discover the Trois Croix (paragliding launch site) with its breathtaking view of the two valleys. The route takes you between mountains and forests, ending at the Château de la Rochepot.

Discover the Monts de Sene, Mont Rème and Rome Château through the vineyards with magnificent scenery.

A lovely walk with breathtaking views of the hillsides and hamlets amongst the vineyards, including the famous Maranges and other equally prestigious estates. It also takes you through a Neolithic site listed as a historic monument (Le Chasséen).

Tucked away at the top of a “mountainous” slope of the Canal du Centre, the Crête de Nantoux is the highlight of a short ride that feels like a long one, offering, along the way, some superb views of the Mont de Sène and its Dôme des Trois Croix.

This is stage 5 of the Route des Grands Crus and it runs from Pernand-Vergelesses round the woods and vineyards along to Magny-lès-Villers and Villers-la-Faye villages and round the quarry and down into Prémeaux-Prissey. .It is dog friendly and through both vineyards and countryside.

A very beautiful walk, especially in October when the vineyards are ablaze with colour, in the Hautes-Côtes between vineyards and woods in a hilly landscape, with pretty views, particularly above Pernand-Vergelesses. The hike is fairly easy, on good paths, despite a few short but steeper slopes. You can picnic in the wash house at Villers-la-Faye, which has been converted for hikers.

This hike along the Ouche springs is varied, alternating between valleys and hills overlooking the Ouche valley. It takes you through the charming village of Lusigny-sur-Ouche with its bridges and wash houses. The Ouche, formed by seven sources, the main one being Presles in Lusigny, winds its way through the upper valley. It then flows into Lake Kir in Dijon, crosses Dijon and flows into the Saône near Saint-Jean-de-Losne after 95 km.

This route allows you to explore the forest and ponds around Demigny. Blue signposted route in both directions on various supports and directional signs at intersections. Partly in the forest and partly in open countryside. Observation of wildlife around the ponds.

This beautiful walk will not only take you through beautiful countryside, but will also take you on a journey through time, from the Order of Malta to the 2nd World War.The highlight is the Templar church in Echarnant, built in the 12th century and located on the road to Compostela, which is why the Templars settled here.
