When you arrive in Santenay town centre, follow the signs for Église Saint-Jean. There is a car park in front of the church with a table and drinking water.
(S/E) Take the street between the houses, which leads to a path.
(1) Take the gravel path that climbs up to the Trois Croix (GR®7).
(2) At the crossroads, turn right towards Trois Croix, following the yellow markings. There is a beautiful view of the entire region. Go back down to the car park and follow the signs for Sentier JMB la Rochepot (Sentier Jean-Marc Boivin). Go down the road to a crossroads.
(3). Turn right, continuing to follow the JMB. This is a pleasant woodland path in hot weather.
Take care when crossing the D906 road. The JMB runs alongside the road for 200 m then begins to climb. After about 500 m, you will see the old Rochepot quarry on your right.
(5) When you reach La Rochepot, follow the JMB to the church and then to the Château de La Rochepot. To do this, turn left at the crossroads towards the cross and go up Rue des Vergers and Rue Biribi. Turn right onto Rue Saint-Georges, pass in front of the church and turn left onto Rue Haute, which will take you to the château.
(6) To return, go down Rue du Château, turn right and then left at the cross. Turn right onto Rue de la Fontaine du Val.
(7) Cross the D973 and join the D33 (Route de Chambéry).
(5) Take the same route back to the D906.
(4) At the D906, you can either take the same route as on the way there or return via theGR®7.
To return viathe GR®7, take the "Montagne des 3 Croix 2.5km" road, which will take you to theGR®7. You will arrive at the Trois Croix car park. Cross the car park, then after 300 metres, turn left and follow the path downhill to the car park (S/E).
