Description of the walk

Park in the car park designated for the fitness trail and the PR®; it is signposted “Parcours JCE” from the D970. Take the first available spaces on the left, just at the end of the road and before the fire hydrant, without going all the way to the information board for the fitness trail.

(S/E) With your back to the access road and before the fire hydrant, take the path on the left, marked in yellow. Ignore any side paths and follow the yellow markings until otherwise indicated. Facing the reservoir, turn slightly to the right.

(1) At the T-junction with a path, turn right. Ignore the side paths. You will reach a crossroads at the ‘Montagne de Rochetin’ signpost.

(2) Follow the PR®10 signpost to the right. Continue to ignore the paths on either side. At the crossroads, keep left and follow the yellow markings.

(3) At the next junction, turn right and then immediately ignore the path on the right. At the next junction, carry on straight ahead until you reach a T-junction. Turn right and you’ll reach the junction with a small road and a path marked ‘Les Toppes Bizot’.

(4) Follow the path to the right; it is signposted with red and yellow GRP® markings, in addition to the yellow markings. Further on, the path becomes a small road.

(5) At the ‘Give Way’ sign, go straight on along Rue Barberet, which soon becomes Chemin de la Vierge. At the Fork in the road, keep left onto the path above Les Bressandes. Further on, climb the steps on the right to reach the monumental statue of Notre-Dame de la Libération.

(6) Take the path on the left that runs parallel to the road. You’ll come to a street. Leave the yellow markings and GRP® signs behind and follow this street to the right. At the next junction, continue to the left and ignore the side lanes. You’ll arrive at the monument honouring winegrowers and stonemasons, at a junction of streets.

(7) Turn right onto Avenue Paul Bouchard. Shortly afterwards, you’ll pass the Fontaine des Pierres Blanches. Further on, turn slightly right onto Rue Caucal. Ignore three streets on the right.

(8) At the Fork in the road, keep left onto Chemin de la Châtelaine. At the next junction, take the road furthest to the right. Keep right at the fork with a path and you’ll reach the car park (S/E).
